Aussie influencers Jadé Tunchy and Lachie Brycki exude couple goals. It wasn't always smooth sailing.

On the outside, influencers Jadé 'Tunchy' Tunchdorak and Lachie Brycki exude couple goals.

On the weekend, you’ll catch them either at the beach, Lachie most likely in a pair of budgie smugglers, or out to a fancy dinner with Jadé sporting the latest Gucci bag she's been #gifted.

While it's easy to get blindsided by their sparkling highlight reel, the newlyweds have carved out a niche for also keeping it real online.

Jadé was one of the first influencers to have a secondary account, to share a more honest version of herself and remind her followers 'no one wakes up photoshopped.'

Whilst her main account is highly curated; Jade uses her secondary account to take the piss out of herself and share makeup free selfies and comedy videos.

The couple are taking this approach with their new podcast, Mad About You, which promises arguments and a glimpse into life on the other side of social media.

In their first episode, Jadé and Lachie didn’t spare any details of the early days of their tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship.

The pair first crossed paths on a night out, when Jadé became mesmerised by the blonde, 190cm bouncer checking IDs on the door of a bar.

Smitten from the start, Jadé remarked asked her friend who she was before quickly discovering Lachie had a girlfriend of a year and a half.

Jadé admitted she was devastated but was adamant she still wanted to get to know the AussieBum model.

Jadé made quite a first impression on Lachie too. After checking her ID at the door he turned to a friend and remarked, "F*ck, she’s hot."

Jadé quickly became a regular at the bar, with Lachie nicknaming her 'Tinder Girl' because her phone was always buzzing with notifications from the dating app.

With Lachie being a taken man, the pair initially formed a friendship where they would go to one another for dating advice.

A few months passed and Lachie split from his girlfriend, as his feelings for Jadé started to develop.

Straight away, Jadé and Lachie began seeing each other, but it didn't last long with Lachie feeling guilty for getting into something new so soon.

The couple parted ways for two and a half years and with no expectation of getting back together.

That was until Jadé made another appearance at Cargo Bar.

Lachie was overseas at the time but word quickly spread that she had been looking for him.

Lachie did some investigating of his own and when Jadé caught him watching her Instagram stories, it wasn't long until they were seeing each other again.

But, without warning Lachie abruptly ended things for a second time, saying he wasn't ready to be in a relationship.

With time and space Lachie realised he had made a huge mistake and on a Christmas light walk, asked Jadé to be his girlfriend. The couple have been together ever since.

When the couple got engaged in February 2021, Jadé started referring to herself as 'the betrothed' and was accused of sharing too many 'cringey' posts on her Instagram.

In one Instagram story she checked in with her followers by saying, "It's me the betrothed, sorry I'm actually spoken for."

Jadé hit back at the criticism saying, "Me getting engaged for some reason is bothering people. So they're complaining about the fact that I'm posting too much."

"You don’t have to come on here [on my Instagram]. No one is forcing you. I don't know if you know that… you can leave."

Followers stuck around though for the ensuing drama, with the couple forced to postpone their wedding due to COVID, leaving them in a predicament when it came to their honeymoon.

Jadé immediately requested a full refund from the premium rental company they'd booked but it refused citing a no-cancellation policy which the couple agreed to in the terms and conditions.

The small business did offer to put the accommodation backup online and issue a refund if it got rebooked by another couple.

But Jadé was not satisfied. In a now deleted post, Jadé unleashed her followers on the business, tagging them and writing, "They're taking money just because they can. It’s just incredibly poor form and so disappointing."

The controversial influencer got what she wanted, with the company buckling under the pressure to refund the couple's deposit.

The couple finally tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at the Hunter Valley Region in October 2022.

Jadé caused a stir online, when she shared a snippet of her new husband’s emotional wedding speech to TikTok. She captioned the video, "Every time I watch this, I cry."

In the video, which attracted 9.8 million views in just a week, Lachie's voice cracked as he tearfully expressed his love for his new bride.

Lachie said, "When I say I love you more, I don't mean I love you more than you love me; I mean I love you more than the bad days ahead of us," he says in the video.

"I love you more than any fight we will ever have; I love you more than the distance between us."

"I love you more than any obstacle that could try and come between us."

The comment section was full of praise for Lachie, with women thanking him for raising the standard for men.

The only catch was, Lachie didn't write that section of the speech. Influencer watchdog accounts discovered that the verse was copied from a poem by Erin Nicole.

Awkwardly, excerpts from this poem can be found all over wedding Pinterest and the passage is the first thing that pops up when searching for love quotes on Google.

Speaking on a recent podcast episode, the couple let slip that things weren’t exactly hot and heavy on their wedding night.

Lachie said, "So let me tell you, you hear it here first… Jadé and I did not consummate the marriage on our wedding night."

The couple went on to explain that it’s a nice idea in theory but the emotion of the day and the lead up zaps you of any energy.

Lachie said, "Your battery is drained by the end of the day. I think we got back into our room maybe at midnight."

"Then you want to debrief. Then you want to chat and then you realise you've been up for 36 hours."

Jadé predicted only 5 per cent of couples are consummating the marriage on their wedding night, with more stopping by Maccas on the way home instead.

In December last year, Jadé announced she and Lachie were expecting their first child in an Instagram post.

In the clip, Jadé appeared stunned as she looked at the positive pregnancy test and raised her hand to her mouth in disbelief.

In the next scene, Lachy discovered the pregnancy test on the bed and proceeded to immediately hold Jadé and kiss her stomach.

This announcement post was savagely roasted by some followers, who accused the couple of staging the video.

One follower wrote, "And the Oscar for the worst actor and actor goes to.'

Whilst another said, "On today's episode of Home and Away."

Jadé and Lachie’s fans jumped to their defence with one follower saying, "Wild how many negative comments are on here. I posted a super similar video when we fell pregnant with our first baby three years ago and it's still one of my favourite videos and memories of my life."

Just last month, the couple welcomed an adorable baby boy called Fletcher Ted Brycki.

On Instagram Jadé wrote, "Mum and Dad are doing well, adjusting to a big chance and feeling incredibly grateful for this beautiful life they get to share."

Fans are early awaiting the couple's return to podcasting, with the new parents set to dive into the realities of newborn life.
