Ivanka Trump is many things.
Fashion designer. Adviser to the President of the United States. Wife and mother. Former model. Daughter and occasional PC translator to Donald Trump.
But the one thing she isn’t is… Ivanka Trump.
Turns out the only daughter of Donald and first wife, Ivana Trump is in fact named after her mother, Ivana Marie Trump, just as older brother, Donald Trump Jr. is named after their father.
In 2010, the 35-year-old confirmed this herself, stating ‘Ivanka’ is the ‘baby version’ of her birth name, Ivana, in the Czech language.
My actual name is Ivana. In Czech, Ivanka is the baby name for Ivana, like Bobby is to Robert. RT @Saluxious Ivanka, how’d you get u r name?

Cute.
Sentimental nicknames aren’t uncommon in US politics – think Theodore ‘Teddy’ Roosevelt and Robert ‘Bobby’ Kennedy. Admittedly, neither is naming one’s offspring after oneself.
I guess we really should just be grateful the couple’s third child, Eric wasn’t named a hybrid ‘Donvana’ – or ‘Donvanka’ to his loved ones.
