As hundreds of climate change and LGBTIQ activists descended on Ivanka Trump’s humble $7.3 million dollar abode in Washington DC to demand more than just words of support from the First Daughter, an unlikely hero emerged from the steps of a different abode.
Although the dance party attracted activists who danced the night away in the name of protest and against Trump’s “bad climate decisions” and disinterest in all things that affect the LGBTIQ community, Ivanka Trump’s neighbour proved to be the real star of the show.
As she watched the events unfold from her house, donning a knee-length fur coat with a glass of wine in hand and bearer of the most gleeful of smiles, Dianne Bruce has been plucked from relative obscurity to become Twitter’s favourite “petty” neighbour.
Captured by photographer Mary Calvert who later shared the image on Instagram, Calvert wrote, “Dianne Bruce lives across the street from Ivanka Trump and also lives in London (Wilton Crescent Belgravia). She watches protesters dance at the “Queer Dance Party for Climate Justice” in the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington DC.”
