In-laws reveal the moment they knew their kid's marriage was doomed.

While some people might not like their in-laws, there’s no denying that sometimes – SOMETIMES – they can be bang on the money.

Like noticing when your relationship is about to capitulate, for example.

Thousands of in-laws have hit Reddit and shared the moment they knew their loved one’s marriage was headed for disaster. Enjoy!

1. Career path.

“She tried to tell us that [her husband] cooking meth in a self-made underground complex in the backyard made him a ‘self-starting entrepreneur’,” one commenter shared.

“And this guy was not Walter White, genius chemist from New Mexico. This was Ricky from Alabama who got his GED at 24.”

Yikes. That’s probably not the stable career path you want your significant other to pursue.

So... does that make Walter White a 'self-starting entrepreneur'?

2. Priorities.

One Redditor never expected her daughter to walk down the aisle with her troublesome beau, but as soon as she did, their relationship problems intensified.

"It's his way or the highway ALL THE TIME," thr4away5s wrote. "Like 'either we stay at this hotel or we break up', for example.

"He bought stuff for himself all the time but didn't even bother to buy her a wedding ring."

(Is anyone else visualising big, red, flashing warning signs right now... or is that just me?)

3. Where's Photoshop when ya need it?

This one is a doozy.

"My daughter-in-law was kissing another guy in one of the wedding photos. Let's just say it didn't go over well."

Annulment, anyone?

4. Double standards.

"My sister couldn't have male friends, but her husband could have as many female friends as he wanted," writes one Redditor.

'She wasn't allowed to drink, or speak to gay people, or have her own life at all, really," Lokmann continues, adding that both he and his parents saw the warning signs from the get-go.

"As soon as they began dating he began pressuring her about marriage. Not even a year later he somehow conned her into it."

Oh dear. (Post continues after gallery.)

5. Little white lies.

Note to self: avoid marrying a compulsive liar like BubbaBubba's brother.

"His ex-wife told us she'd been married four times already... two of those times was to the same guy, and she was 33," he began.

In between faking a pregnancy, lying about owning a cleaning company, and being in a coma for two years, it didn't take long for this Redditor and his family to cut ties with his sister-in-law altogether.

Sadly, BubbaBubba's brother has since passed away, but he says the wife is still renowned for her crazy antics.

Can you relate? What was the moment you knew your loved one's marriage was doomed?
