We always knew Cher was interested in turning back time.
But if her newest social media photo is anything to go by, she really doesn’t need to.
The iconic singer, 69, shared a photo of herself with her mother at the weekend, captioning it: “This is what 70 & 90 looks like in my family…. Mom has NO MAKE UP ON.”
The Believe songstress and her mother are shown smiling at the camera in the homemade snap, and her mother’s skin is glowy enough to make any 40-year-old jealous.
Cher may have made no secret of her love for plastic surgery but she also has good genes, clearly.
She followed up saying the picture hasn’t been altered and that her grandmother also had wonderful skin.
She even admitted she doesn’t know how to access photo-altering apps, proving she’s just like our favourite hilarious aunt:
Cher, who was chosen last year as the new face of Marc Jacobs, appeared in the designer’s AW2015 campaign, donning a jet-black dominatrix-styled gown and gloves and looking as badass as ever.
The California-born icon is a prolific tweeter, but only occasionally shares photos of herself on the platform.
More regularly, she uses the social media platform to speak out about political issues. Indeed, her Twitter tirades have been praised by some commentators as authentic, bold and devoid of the carefully crafted PR nonesense characterising many celebrities’ social media accounts.
Recently, she has called out Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for racism and homophobia, pointing out his apparent lack of interest in racial diversity and his supporters’ disregard for LGBT rights.
She has even gone so far as to compare Trump to Hitler.
For International Women’s Day, Cher also sent a feminist tweet noting that “as women, we’ve climbed on the shoulders of giants.”
If you’re not already following Cher on Twitter, you know what to do.
