Georgie Gardner receives personalised thank you letter from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Two months on from the royal wedding, Today Show host Georgie Gardner has received her very own personalised thank you letter from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Georgie, who sent the couple a Murph and Murph picnic rug featuring an image of Western Australia’s Cape Leveque read out her personalised letter on the Today Show yesterday morning.

“Dear Georgie, we wanted to write and thank you so much for the incredibly thoughtful wedding gift,” the 48-year-old read on air.

“We’re both delighted that you would think of us during this special time and greatly appreciate your kindness.

“Thank you again for your kind gift. We are incredibly touched. All the best, H&M.”

The television presenter said the letter would be going “straight to the pool room”.

“I am hoping that right now they are canoodling on Cape Leveque as we speak,” she added.

According to News Corp, while covering the royal wedding from Windsor in May with her Today co-host Karl Stefanovic, Georgie enlisted the help of famous royal commentator Dick Arbiter to ensure the gift would reach the couple.

But after news broke that Meghan and Harry aren’t allowed to accept gifts they receive from people they do not know personally, Georgie began to worry that the pair wouldn’t receive the Australian-made waterproof rug she sent them.

“I sort of thought, ‘Oh probably not because they can’t accept gifts,’ but I’m surprised to say they got it,” she said.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been busy handling all their post-royal wedding admin, sending out thank you cards to the thousands of well-wishers who sent them cards and gifts.

Although most people who sent gifts and cards received an unsigned card from the couple, Georgie’s personalised letter was complete with the couple’s signatures.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to visit Australia in October for the 2018 Invictus Games.
