Look, it’s no secret we’re suckers for a cheesy Netflix rom-com.
They’re our lifeblood.
But when we come across a story that is seemingly ripped from the scripts of our favourite movies to watch when we’re hungover, we get excited.
Even more excited than realising it’s 5pm and time to leave work, put on our stretchy pants and fall into a deep binge of silly movies that make us cry even though we predicted the ending by simply reading the title.
Yes – we need to get lives.
Well, a tale doing the rounds on Twitter has caught our attention for that very reason.
It involves pound cake, noisy neighbours and sexy dreams about Michael B Jordan.
If that doesn’t sound like the makings of a truly great and maybe kinda terrible rom-com, we don’t know what does.
It’s official: 70 per cent of Aussies watch Netflix with their pets. Post continues after video…
It all began when US writer Candice Benbow made a very polite and hilariously-worded noise complaint via a note to her neighbour.
Because no-one wants to hear thumping music/extremely loud sex noises/couple’s fighting at 4am in the morning (I have heard all three from my neighbours in the past week. I’ve also seen them naked through the window more than once, but that’s a story for another time).
