Guy Pearce and Carice van Houten welcome baby boy.

Australian actor Guy Pearce and his Game of Thrones star partner, Carice van Houten, have welcomed their first child.

“A cute little package arrived and told us his name’s Monte Pearce,” Pearce announced on Twitter.

“We think we’re gonna keep him. Placenta smoothie anyone?” he added.

The 39-year-old actress posted an emoji reaction which included a poo and a cocktail.

The 48-year-old former Neighbours star has been linked with van Houten since last year, after splitting with his wife of 18 years.

The Dutch actress is best known for playing witch Melisandre on the hit Game of Thrones series.

Their son, Monte, was born in Amsterdam last week – according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

It is the first child for both parents.
