Police say the 45kg girl stood no chance against her alleged attackers.
It took police months to track down the victim and alleged rapists after they unwittingly came across “hideous” footage of a brutal gang rape while investigating graffiti offences.
Police believe at least four men took turns raping an unconscious 16-year-old girl during a 16-minute ordeal at a party at a home in St Clair, a suburb is Sydney’s west, in May and recorded the attack on the host’s GoPro camera, News Limited reports.
They are investigating whether the teen’s drink was spiked.
Police claim there were up to eight men in the room at the time of the attack, including a teenage boy.
The alleged attackers – some of whom are fathers of young children and are married or engaged – were identified by their tattoos and are believed to be childhood friends, some of whom play rugby together.
Three men and a 17-year-old were charged with rape on Wednesday.
Tristan Carlyle-Watson, 25, who allegedly laughed at the girl and egged on the alleged rapists, was charged with concealing an indictable offence.
Penrith Local Court heard yesterday Mr Carlyle-Watson encouraged the co-accused to engage in the “deplorable” conduct, Fairfax Media reports.
“At no stage did he try and help the victim, who was unconscious,” the prosecutor said.
