The first trailer for Leighton Meester’s new show the Stan Original Series Good Cop/Bad Cop is here and it features Adam Brody.

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are one of those Hollywood couples we can all get behind. They're sweet, they're low-key, and to a certain group of millennial women, they represent the gold-star crossover of Gossip Girl and The O.C.

We never thought Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen would cross paths in real life, let alone tie the knot. But these two somehow made it happen and for that, we thank them.

And now, it's been revealed Brody will feature in a cameo role in Meester's highly-anticipated new comedy, the Stan Original Series Good Cop/Bad Cop.

Filmed in Australia — Yes! They were here, with all of us and the kangaroos! — the new Stan Original Series follows Lou (Leighton Meester), a rising detective in a small Pacific Northwest police force. Wanting backup to take her detective work to new heights, she's given a partner: her idiot brother Henry (Luke Cook).

And if you think that's a complicated working dynamic, their boss is Police Chief Big Hank (Clancy Brown), who just so happens to be their father. Imagine fighting crime and having to deal with daddy dearest all in one day? Big yikes energy.

Lou and Henry must contend with colourful residents, a serious lack of resources, small-town crime and, of course, their unique family dynamic. All in a day's work for the Good Cop/Bad Cop crew.

The main cast are joined by local actors, including Devon Terrell, Blazey Best, Scott Lee, William McKenna, Shamita Siva, Philippa Northeast and Grace Chow. Plus, Boy Swallows Universe break-out star, Felix Cameron. And in the very first trailer, it was revealed Brody will be taking on a role as one of the town's most intriguing residents. Now this, we have to see.

The procedural comedy is in good hands, with a whole crew of talented folks behind Good Cop/Bad Cop. 

The series was created and written by John Quaintance (Will & Grace, Workaholics), with executive producers Trent O'Donnell, Jeff Wachtel and Chloe Rickard.

Stan Original Series Population 11 creator Phil Lloyd is also on board as co-executive producer. Trent O'Donnell (Stan Original Series Population 11) will set up the series, alongside Gracie Otto (Stan Original Series Bump) and Corrie Chen (Stan Original Series Bad Behaviour) and Anne Renton (The Good Doctor).

Production began around April 2024, with filming locations across Queensland. Good Cop/Bad Cop is the latest Stan Original Series to be shot in Australia, following the footsteps of Population 11, The Tourist and more.

Now all we have to do is sit back, relax, and wait for the 20th of February when Good Cop/Bad Cop drops on Stan. Consider us seated!
