The full list of nominations (and snubs) from the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.

The festive season is in full swing, but there's more than just the upcoming Christmas break to celebrate.

Nominees for 83rd Annual Golden Globes have officially dropped, and there's controversy.

The ceremony will kick off the 2026 awards season on Sunday, January 11 (that's Monday, January 12 for us in Australia).

Nikki Glaser is set to return as host, so prepare for some red-hot digs at the A-list audience.

Watch: The biggest movies of the year all have one thing in common. Post continues below.

The 2025 Golden Globes nominees.

This year, Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another led the pack with nine nominations, including one for star Leonardo DiCaprio.

Close behind was Joachim Trier's Sentimental Value, a Norwegian family drama about a filmmaking family.

The Neon release's eight nominations included nods for four of its actors: Stellan Skarsgård, Renate Reinsve, Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas.

Meanwhile, Sinners received seven nods.

In the world of the silver screen, The White Lotus came out in front with six nominations, followed by Netflix's Adolescence with five and Severance and Only Murders in the Building with four.

Leading the Australian nominations was Jacob Elordi, who received nominations for his roles in Frankenstein and The Narrow Road to the Deep North. Star Sarah Snook was also recognised for her performance in Binge's All Her Fault, scoring a nod in the Best Actress in a Limited Series category.

Everyone's favourite rom-com Nobody Wants This earned a nomination for best comedy and acting nods for Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.

There's one notable change to the awards this year.

For the first time, podcasts are up for a trophy. The inaugural nominees are Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Call Her Daddy, Good Hang with Amy Poehler, The Mel Robbins Podcast, SmartLess and NPR's Up First.

The 2025 Golden Globes snubs.

Of course, we must talk about the snubs. After all, what's an awards nomination day without some complaining?

Perhaps most surprisingly, Wicked: For Good has been snubbed from a major category. Yes, Cynthia Erivo landed a nomination for best performance and Ariana Grande in the supporting category, but the film failed to earn a spot in Best Comedy or Musical. Wicked director Jon M. Chu also missed out on a nod in the Best Director category.

The Sydney Sweeney-led boxing biopic Christy didn't receive a single nomination — not even one for Sweeney's transformative turn. While her performance earned rave reviews at the Toronto Film Festival, it was soon overshadowed by poor box office sales.

Katherine LaNasa's gripping performance as nurse Dana Evans in The Pitt earned her an Emmy, yet there's radio silence on the Golden Globes nomination front.

There was no room for Gwyneth Paltrow either. She was snubbed of a place in the supporting category for her role as a fading socialite in Marty Supreme.

You might've noticed Ne Zha 2, the Chinese animated epic that's the biggest movie of the year, also missed out.

It's the highest-grossing animated feature film of all time and one our Entertainment Writer Chelsea Hui has raved about. However, it wasn't among the box office or the animated feature nominees.
