Every scandalous and laugh-out-loud moment you missed from the Golden Globes.

And just like that, the Golden Globes have wrapped up for another year.

Between the big awards, the public callouts, awkward moments and snubs, the 2026 Golden Globes were one for the history books.

Glaser took aim at several celebrities in her opening monologue, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothee Chalamet, but it was her cutting comments about US politics that were the most controversial.

She did not specifically mention Donald Trump, but took aim at a controversy surrounding CBS choosing to cut a 60 Minutes investigative report. "The Golden Globe for best editing goes to… CBS News, America's newest place to see B.S. news," Glaser said.

ICYMI: the Golden Globes aired on CBS in the US. Oop.

The callouts kept on coming when Wanda Sykes awarded Ricky Gervais the award for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television, but as he wasn't in attendance, she accepted his award… well, kinda.

"He would want to thank God and the trans community," she said sarcastically. For background: Gervais has copped heat in recent years for his transphobic stand-up material, and is known for his staunch defence of atheism. Sykes said she was pleased he didn't come.

Ariana Grande might have missed out on an award, but the most head-turning moment of the night was seeing her return to her roots…like, literally.

Ari has gone fully brunette again. Nature is healing.

In another segment, The Nanny's Fran Drescher introduced presenter Macaulay Culkin, saying: "Please welcome a boy who famously had no nanny."

This joke could be taken two ways: she could be referencing his role in Home Alone, or his tumultuous upbringing. Culkin left his parents as a teen by suing them to remove their names from his multi-million dollar trust fund.

In one awkward moment, host Nikki Glazer spoke about Michael B. Jordan's role playing twins in Sinners, but his mum seemed less than pleased at her NSFW joke.

"I can't believe it, we got two Michael B. Jordans. When I saw that, I was like, Nikki B. Jerkin', because that was awesome," quipped Glaser, making a masturbation reference.

Michael laughed but Donna Jordan, aka the actor's mum, could be seen behind her son, rolling her eyes with a drink in hand. Glaser added with a smile, "I'm so sorry. That should've been a DM."

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell were both nominated and walked the red carpet together. This is their first red carpet appearance together since the controversy that struck the couple last year.

In October, Bell posted to celebrate the couple's 12th wedding anniversary on Instagram.

The caption joked: "Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: 'I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I'm heavily incentivised to kill you, I never would.'"

The post immediately drew intense criticism from followers and domestic violence advocates. They avoided addressing the controversy on the Golden Globes red carpet.

The awards featured quite a few shocking snubs. The White Lotus walked away empty-handed despite being nominated for the most TV awards.

Meanwhile, The Studio and Adolescence dominated across the TV categories.

Over in movies, One Battle After Another, The Secret Agent and Hamnet took home plenty of accolades.

Over in snubs, Sinners sadly missed out on a lot of awards, but won for Cinematic and Box-Office Achievement.

The movie won Original Score, but the award wasn't televised, as it was given out during the ad break. Hmm, choices!

Sarah Snook was expected to win Best Actress in a Limited TV series for All Her Fault but it was Michelle Williams who won for Dying For Sex, despite not attending the show.

While Emma Stone was predicted to win in her category, it was Australia's own Rose Byrne who took home the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.

In her speech, she hilariously noted that her long-term partner, actor Bobby Cannavale, couldn't be there with her as he was away buying a bearded dragon lizard.

Jacob Elordi had double the chance of winning, as he was nommed for Best Supporting Actor for his movie Frankenstein, along with a TV nomination Best Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or TV Movie for The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

Sadly, our boy lost out in both categories.

One man who did win, Stellan Skarsgård, for his role in Sentimental Value, took the chance to call out audiences shifting away from watching movies in cinemas.

He implored viewers to watch Sentimental Value where it belongs: the cinema.

"Hopefully you'll see it in a cinema, because they're an [endangered species] now," Skarsgård said.

"Cinema should be seen in cinemas!"

Damn straight, Daddy Skarsgård!
