Awards season has officially begun, with the 2025 Golden Globe Awards kicking us off in style at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles this week. Soon to follow will be the Grammys, the SAG Awards, and the grandest night of them all: The Oscars.

But the Golden Globes hold a special place in our hearts as one of the most exciting nights on the Hollywood calendar. And in 2025, they certainly delivered.

There was a stunning red carpet, with our favourite stars including Selena Gomez and Nicole Kidman looking phenomenal, and of course there were big wins for Zoe Saldana, Anna Sawai and Kieran Culkin.

But above all else, there were plenty of celebrity encounters that fed our gossip-hungry hearts.

Here are the biggest celebrity moments you might have missed from the Golden Globes red carpet.

A Moulin Rouge reunion.

The red carpet is the perfect occasion for reunions. And the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet did not disappoint.

Throwing it back to 2001 to our favourite musical romance, Moulin Rouge, Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor had an adorable moment on the red carpet.

McGregor and his wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead were doing an interview on the red carpet when Kidman popped in for a little reunion. When the interviewer pointed out the Moulin Rouge moment, Kidman revealed a fun fact about a different connection the two had.

"But actually Babygirl too, because his daughter is in Babygirl, playing my daughter," Kidman laughed.

Even 24 years later, Santine and Christian are still bringing a smile to our faces.

Only moments before, Kieran Culkin also made a special appearance, crashing the interview to say hello to the couple.

Selena Gomez tears up after meeting Salma Hayek.

Selena Gomez is having the year of her life. With two nominations for film and TV at the Golden Globes and her recent engagement announcement. Not to mention, she just met Salma Hayek on The Golden Globes red carpet and cried tears of joy.

And honestly, we get it. Salma Hayek is Mother.

After sharing a little hug and a kiss between interviews, Gomez wiped a tear and gushed about her love for Hayek.

"That made me cry," Gomez said, tearfully.

"She's who I've looked up to."

Two queens. Enough said.

During her interview on the Golden Globes red carpet this year, Gomez was surprised when her co-stars popped in to say hello.

"Oh, someone needs attention," Gomez laughed as her co-stars joined her.

"This is the reason I'm even at The Golden Globes, these guys."

Kieran Culkin revives feud with Pedro Pascal.

In true Kieran Culkin form, he was equal parts chaotic and iconic this year.

During his red carpet interview, not only did he rip the cue card out of the interviewer's hand, but he proceeded to call out Pedro Pascal again, and reignited their feud from last year's awards season

"Is he here tonight? Oh he's not? Sorry, Pedro, were you not nominated this year?" Culkin asked, laughing. "Next year. Maybe next year. When I won't be."

A Glen(n) sandwich.

In an iconic Golden Globes moment, the internet's boyfriend, Glen Powell met the Hollywood legend, Glenn Close and made a Glen(n) sandwich.

"Are you two N's or one?" Close is heard asking.

"I'm only one N, but you're more so you need more N's," Powell said.

"You're the GOAT. I'm so honoured. You're the ultimate Glenn."

Angelina Jolie brought her daughter as her date.

In the past few years, Angelina Jolie has been known to grace the red carpet with her kids. And this year's Golden Globes were no different.

Wearing a stunning silver gown, Jolie walked the red carpet alongside her daughter, Zahara, who wore a classic white dress.

Hand-in-hand, the two were seen smiling and posing for photos together.

Zahara is the second of the six children that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie share, along with Maddox, Shiloh, Pax, and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Selena Gomez meets Cecily Collette.

As if the evening couldn't get more wholesome, Selena Gomez had the most adorable first meeting with Wicked star Cecily Collette.

After having a little chat, Gomez and Collette posed together for a photo and it's so cute, I could cry.

Ariana Grande reunites with Jennifer Coolidge

Ariana Grande has always been a certified Jennifer Coolidge fan.

Not only did Coolidge star in Grande's 2019 music video for 'Thank You, Next', but Grande has also done many impressions of Coolidge, including on The Tonight Show in 2018.

Coolidge even presented Grande with the Rising Star Award this week at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

And they've reunited again on the Golden Globes Carpet.

"I'm so happy to see you," Grande gushed as the two embraced.

Timothée Chalamet and Glen Powell's lookalike contest winners were in attendance.

With lookalike contests taking over the world recently, is it really that surprising that both Timothée Chalamet and Glen Powell's lookalike contest winners Miles Mitchell and Maxwell Braunstein walked the Golden Globes red carpet?

Holding signs that read, "I won a lookalike contest and now I'm at The Golden Globes," the two men wore dashing suits and walked the carpet together.

Not only did they walk the red carpet, but Powell's lookalike, Max Braunstein actually got to meet him. The two had a very enthusiastic first meeting, with Powell taking a selfie with him and shouting for his mother to come over in order to introduce her to Braunstein. We love it.

Anna Sawai sings Benson Boone's 'Beautiful Things.'

Anna Sawai has the year of her life. After winning the Emmy for her performance in Shogun, Sawai also took home the Golden Globe today.

While on the red carpet, Sawai was asked what pop song she would listen to right now and she answered 'Beautiful Things' by Benson Boone.

After being prompted to sing, she did indeed, giving us a taste of her lovely voice. I mean, did we really expect anything less? She was a Japanese pop star originally.

Kathryn Hahn ditches her heels.

While still on the red carpet, Kathryn Hahn did the relatable and took her heels off. If this isn't me, the second I get home from any event where I need to wear heels.

Hahn let out a pained moan as she held onto someone from her team and removed her shoes.
