Police are looking for the father of a six-year-old girl who was found dead at a Brisbane home this morning.
Officers were called to a house in Sturt Street at Kedron just after 8:00am (AEST), where they found the girl’s body.
Officers are treating the death as suspicious and a crime scene as been declared.
The cause of the death was yet to be established.
Police said they were looking for the girl’s father and a silver Mercedes car.
The mother and the eight-year-old sister of the girl have been taken to a police station.
Police have been door-knocking the area.
Neighbour Katrina Marlow said there were no signs of trouble last night.
“When I came home at midnight it was lovely, quiet, peaceful, like it is every night,” she said.
“At about eight o’clock this morning I heard my neighbour say something happened and I heard police sirens and noise and everything.
“It will hit people, the people who know them better, very very hard.”
