Since the news of the Gilmore Girls reboot was confirmed, we’ve been waiting for our first look at Lorelai and Rory Gilmore since the show ended its run in 2007.
And now we finally have our first peek at Stars Hollow. And let’s just say, it doesn’t look like much has changed.
Actress Lauren Graham – who played Lorelai on the show – earlier shared that while the filming is taking place on a different set, everything is looking very familiar.
“Alexis and I walked onto the set together and — I feel super emotional about a lot of it and I’m afraid I’m going to start crying at every turn — but walking onto that set really felt like something,” Graham said.
“It felt like a lot of time had passed and it felt like we were just there. It felt amazing.”
Now filming has begun, we’re finally getting a look at what the new show will look like, with Yanic Truesdale (or Michel Gerard) sharing a photo of him and Graham back at The Dragonfly Inn.
With most of our favourite characters returning and the series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino coming back to helm the production, we have no doubt the Netflix revival will be just as glorious as the original.
All we need now is Melissa McCarthy to sign on.
