It’s easy to shrug off a vague figure in a burnt piece of toast, but thinking your selfie was photobombed by a ghost is almost impossible to ignore. Florida resident Melissa Kurtz, 48, was scrolling through her phone when she discovered a photo her daughter had taken seemingly captured somebody else.
The image shows Kurtz’ daughter, Harper, smiling in the passenger seat of their family car. Above her right shoulder and sitting in the backseat appears to be the ghostly figure of a young boy.
The mother-of-two uploaded the image to Facebook where it gained so much circulation, she was interviewed for further information. What she said has one paranormal expert believing they know who the boy was and why he was there.
Kurtz told The Daily Mail her 13-year-old daughter had begun taking selfies while they were in the car to relieve her boredom. After the mother discovered the image, she researched the stretch of road she was driving on and discovered something else.
"Where the picture was taken there was an automobile accident one year ago exactly. When I looked into it, someone had been medevacked (SIC) away in a helicopter," she said.
"However they would not tell me any specific details when I inquired, which leads me to believe that it was a child, as that might be why they couldn’t provide the information."
