"Thank you for the sign, Mum." Georgia Love's moving discovery on Mother's Day.

Sunday is Georgia Love‘s second Mother’s Day without her mum, Belinda, who passed away at the end of 2016 from pancreatic cancer.

The Bachelorette star lost her mum just 24 hours after the final episode of the reality show aired.

But while last year the 29-year-old told Stellar magazine the day was “too much to fathom,” this year, she noticed a moving sign in a very unexpected place.

On Instagram, Love wrote that “every year without fail,” she and older sister Katie would buy their mum Peter Alexander pyjamas for Mother’s Day (side note – excellent present).

“This year, they made a pair of Winnie the Pooh PJs,” she wrote. “Not just special because that’s what Mum would read us when we were young, but they feature the quote I read at her funeral.”

That quote, by author AA Milne, is: “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.”

“Thank you for the sign, Mum, we miss you today more than ever,” Love wrote.

Last month, the journalist spoke to Stacey June and Kristie Mercer for The Thinkergirls Pod Channel, and recalled the night her mother died, which was also the second night she had ever spent with Lee.

“Our second night as a couple was spent with him literally holding me as I screamed and shook for hours and hours and hours,” she said, her voice cracking.

“I didn’t say anything, I just screamed for hours.

“I really can’t imagine anyone else in the world having been like that with me then. And he didn’t freak out, he stepped up, he messaged everybody I knew that day to say, ‘hi, I’m Lee, I’m Georgia’s boyfriend, I’m just letting you know that this has happened’.

“He went out and he cooked for my whole family, he met everyone in one go.”

Love told the podcast that during filming for The Bachelorette, she was fun and silly, but Lee had to get to know a very different Georgia once the show ended. One who cried a lot, was angry, and was going through the stages of grief.

“People often ask like sliding doors, what if you’d chosen Matty J, what if you’d chosen someone else?” she said.

“[But] I cannot imagine anyone I’ve ever met in my entire life, being as good as Lee was even just that night.”

Elliott shared a photo of he and Georgia on Instagram on Sunday, with the caption, “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.”
