After she got the call up to be The Bachelorette last year, Georgia Love had just one question – who put her up?
“I actually never applied to be on The Bachelorette, [so] it was a casting person from Warner Bros, the show’s production company that called,” Love told Mia Freedman in the latest episode of No Filter.
“I thought it was a prank so I kind of played along and I was like ‘Sure’ and I wrote down her name and she was like ‘Your name has come up’.”
Interesting.

It was some time later that she discovered how her name had been thrown into the mix to start with.
“The only thing I have heard about it since – and I don’t know who the person actually is – but they said they kind of put a big shout out to people within their network saying the kind of person that they wanted and a nurse from Tasmania had seen me speaking at an event,” she said.
“She said to the casting people ‘There’s this girl in Hobart and she ticks all those boxes’.
“‘She needs a husband!’,” Love joked.
