Everyone's favourite British comedy is returning for one final episode.

Get ready to rejoice, Gavin and Stacey fans — after a long, five-year hiatus, the beloved show is finally making its return with a Christmas special. The last time we saw our favourite crew, we were left wanting more with a massive cliffhanger and no answers. 

But now, it seems we're finally getting the closure we deserve with Gavin and Stacey: The Finale. Welcoming back James Corden, Matthew Horne, Ruth Jones and Joanna Page as the show's main stars, the final episode promises to wrap things up with an ending the fans deserve. 

Corden and Jones confirmed the exciting news of the show's return on Instagram in May.

"Some news… It's official!!! We have finished writing the last ever episode of Gavin and Stacey. See you on Christmas Day, BBC One. Love Ruth and James," he wrote.

When is Gavin and Stacey coming out? 

The final episode of Gavin and Stacey will be released on Boxing Day. That's right — mark your calendars for December 26 for a one-episode wrap-up of Gavin and Stacey's journey. After five years of waiting, we'll finally get to see how it all ends (or maybe, begins again?). In Billericay, Pam is stressed about hosting, with Mick practicing his golf swing indoors, and Pete and Dawn's relationship continues to have its ups and downs.
