Hi, it’s me again. I’m Jo Abi, Mamamia blogger and massive over-sharer (or so my family and friends tell me after my most recent post!). Anyway, here I am in my new role as Occasional Official Product/Service Tester. Or it might just be a one off.
Today I’ve come across PINCHme.
I spend way too much money on creams, shampoos and all cosmetics. What can I say? I’m an ageing mother-of-three wondering what happened to her youth and desperately trying to cling on what is left of my looks. Quite often I see an ad for a new cosmetic and it looks brilliant, except too often I’ve been disappointed by it, AFTER forking out the cash for it. It just wasn’t right for me. As a result I have A LOT of products in my bathroom cabinet.
It’s great to get product samples with magazines but it’s never enough to really test the product properly. I normally put product samples in my gym bag for when I have a shower and I do what I can. Sometimes I mix them up (the horror!).
This is where PINCHme comes in.
PINCHme is an exciting way to try new products for free so you know if they are right for you. And you get decent sized free samples. You can actually wash your entire head of hair or moisturise your face adequately and at my age (cough-37-cough) I need as much moisturiser as I can get.
It’s so quick and simple, here’s how it works. You go to the website pinchme.com.au and register. You enter your name, postal address, email address and fill in some basic information. Female, check. 30-40 years of age, check. Coles or Woolworths shopper? Check. You even have to verify your information using a code sent to your mobile so it’s totally secure. Then you sit back and wait for your sample to arrive.
The product usually arrives within a week, then you try it out, go back to the site and leave feedback if you wish or make a decision to add it to your trolley or not and then try other samples. Looking for a hair treatment that works? A new body butter? Mascara that doesn’t try and take your eye out with its exaggeratedly curved ‘wand’?
