1. An Aussie A-list actor has been arrested following a bar fight in the US. Sam Worthington, the 36-year-old star of Avatar, was pepper sprayed and handcuffed outside Vortex Bar and Grill in the States after allegedly pushing a security guard who refused to let him into the bar because he was too drunk.
Sam, mate – you’re from Australia. Surely you know by now that you if you’re going to pick a fight then you don’t take on the security guard. That was never going to come off. And if you’re going to have a go, then you should have at least taken your dragon with you.
Additionally, the actor was reportedly looking so scruffy that onlookers thought he ‘was a homelesss person’. (You can read more about that here.) Perhaps next time Sam should head to the bar dressed in blue body paint with shiny, swirly patterns painted around his eyes.
Sam is not the first famous person to be arrested and nor will he be the last. Take a look at this Hollywood Walk of Fame Shame:
2. Peaches Geldof, daughter of Paula Yates and Bob Geldof, has spoken out for the first time about her mother’s death from an accidental heroin overdose in 2000. Peaches told ELLE magazine:
“I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it. I just blocked it out. I went to school the next day because my father’s mentality was ‘keep calm and carry on.’ So we all went to school and tried to act as if nothing had happened. But it had happened.”
Confessing to abusing drugs and alcohol as a teenager, Peaches said that the memory of her mother always kept her from losing control:
“I was completely aware of the whole situation, the transition of my mother who was amazing, who wrote books on parenting, who gave us this idyllic childhood in Kent; and who then turned into this heartbroken shell of a woman who was just medicating to get through the day.
“On top of that, there was my father who was very embittered and depressed about it and for us children, an environment that was impossible, veering between a week with my mother that was complete chaos, and then with my father, which was almost Dickensian: homework, dinner, bed because he was trying in his own way to combat what was going on at my mother’s.
“It was like living on a permanent see-saw and very scary and sad. Those feelings have always stayed with me, they just never went away.”
Peaches went on to say that she is determined to give her baby son Astala the stable home environment she never had.
3. Ever heard of a vajacial? It’s like a facial… but for your vagina. Yep. There seems to be a whole new world of vagina maintenance that has simply passed us by (vajazzling etc) 36-year-old Australian actress Isla Fisher has done an interview with Women’s Health in the US, in which she said:
