If you're like me and getting flashbacks to 2005 (or even 1995) every time you scroll through the latest styles, welcome to the club. The coming year is looking like a rewind of past eras, but dare I say, more fun this time around.

I've officially hit that phase where I'm morphing into my mum saying "Oh, I can't believe that's back!"

2024 was unforgettable — we saw animal prints make a roaring comeback, bubble hems having their moment, square-toe sandals and thongs, and butter yellow and red tights after a sea of neutrals over the past few years.

Boho Renaissance (but for all seasons).

Boho is officially back, and it's no longer just for warmer days. 2025 is set to be the year of boho, with luxury brands like Chloé and Isabel Marant leading the charge and revamping this look for every season. Think less busy prints, more earthy neutrals, and effortless layering.

This boho revival leans into 70s nostalgia but with a polished twist. Expect to see clogs, oversized sunnies, delicate lace, soft ruffles, lots of suede and fringed textures.

Floaty, billowy dresses will reign supreme for the warmer months, but come winter, it's all about fringe jacket, layer over cosy knits and faux fur jackets, lots of suede and — don't come for me — even a boho disc belt (yes, those are back too).

Picture yourself in a vintage cowboy or layering with knee-high riding boots, or chunky chain belts. It's time to grab a peasant blouse or breezy maxi boho dress — the boho renaissance is here.

Burgundy will be the "It" colour.

This past year gave us butter/lemon yellow, cherry red (remember those red tights had a moment), and brat green. But for 2025, the vibe is shifting towards a rich, bold hue of blood ox red/burgundy that's both timeless and bold.

Now, let's be real —burgundy isn't exactly revolutionary. We've seen this shade before, but in 2025, it's set for a comeback in a big way. Think head-to-toe monochromatic looks, luxe layers, and the perfect punch of colour to add to your wardrobe staples. And yes, prepare to see it everywhere in accessories — shoes, bags, and belts are all about to get a little darker and a lot more dramatic.

It's going to be all about polka dots.

Okay, hear me out—animal print might've stolen the spotlight in 2024, but in 2025, it's all about polka dots. And before your mind jumps to those classic, ultra-polished, "Pretty Woman" vibes at the polo, let me stop you right there. The 2025 version of polka dots is anything but prim and proper.

Think sheer polka dots paired back with lace, bold clashes of prints in unexpected colour combos like yellow and black, and playful mixes of black, brown, navy, red, yellow, and beyond. And polka dots aren't sticking to just dresses, tops and skirts. We're talking about polka dot tights, and even polka dot layers and textures popping up in the most surprising places. This isn't the dainty polka dot of the past; it's polka dots with attitude.

For me, polka dots never really went out of style, they've just been waiting to have their moment again. And 2025 is their year to shine, adding a playful, anything-goes vibe to any outfit. So, get ready to see a lot more dots next year, in ways you never expected.
