We need to talk about the two Toms on Farmer Wants A Wife.

Okay, I have a gripe about Farmer Wants A Wife, and it has nothing to do with the ladies being pitted against each other this week.

That's right, I don't want to talk about Chloe or Clarette (well, I do a little). I want to discuss Farmer Tom.

On Monday night's episode, Tom's farm majorly downsized after Emily elected to leave. The decision came after the compatibility test and the honesty dinner, which made her realise that her connection with Tom wasn't strong enough.

"She's such a lovely lady and she deserves happiness," Tom told the three remaining women.

But then Tom suddenly shifted his attention to Mady.

"I feel like everyone's been so open and honest with me, I should be honest with you too," he began, turning to look at a confused Mady.

"Mady, I just feel like the connection is not quite strong enough, and I don't want to waste your time 'cos you're such a lovely lady," he continued.

"I think it's best that we part ways, as well."

Ooft. Oh! Okay!

Firstly, get a new descriptor for women, Tom, they can't all be 'lovely ladies'.

But more importantly, umm, what the hell? Maybe don't dump this woman in front of a whole table of people?

I'M LITERALLY SHOUTING AT MY TV. THE AUDACITY OF THIS MAN.

Mady sat there, stunned, as he stuttered out for her to "don't take it hard feelings."

In a confessional, she admitted she "wasn't expecting this outcome at all, it was a big move by him…"

Well yeah, most women don't expect to be dumped in front of their peers and not even get the respect of being pulled aside privately.

If anything, it felt like Tom being left by Emily was a petty response, as it inspired him to do the same to Madi — the difference being that Emily respectfully pulled Tom away from the group to do it.

This isn't the first time Tom has exhibited poor behaviour. A week ago, he broke up with fan favourite Emma in a brutal dumping.

After the Harvest Festival, Tom pulled Emma aside for what she thought would be a simple chat, but instead, he told her he had stronger connections for the other women and sent her home on the spot — without a hug or any sort of comforting gesture.

Emma later reflected on the sudden split.

"We had a break for a couple of days between going from the farm to the Harvest event, so I was asking him if he got much work done [around the farm] and I just remember feeling like he wasn't interested in talking to me at that point," she told Women's Day.

Emma later said she wished he had ended things sooner instead of dragging it out. She also revealed that she was whisked away from the set within minutes, without getting the chance to say goodbye to the other contestants.

"I had a couple of seconds to gather my thoughts and then a few minutes later I got straight into the car and left," Emma reflected to Woman's Day. "I really wish I could've said goodbye to the girls."

Then there are claims from former contestants about Tom.

Emmie and Bridget both quit Farmer Wants A Wife less than 24 hours after arriving on the farm, without saying goodbye to Tom or the other contestants on camera.

Emmie later explained on Instagram that she left because she "wasn't going to settle for disrespect." She cited "immaturity, selfishness, and toxic behaviour" that she wasn't willing to tolerate.

Meanwhile, Bridget also shared her side on social media, including an incident where Tom was "openly rude" to her in front of others.

Hmm. I'm sensing a pattern, and it's not a good one.

From one Tom to another: Farmer Thomas also made a few weird missteps on Monday night's episode.

When asked by the women about what he liked most about Clarette — besides their physical connection — he was lost for words.

"Tell me what you told me on the walk," Clarette encourages him, but he seemingly couldn't think of anything other than meaningless platitudes. Not great!

"It should be easy for someone to list amazing qualities in a potential partner," Clarette said in a confessional.

"He just said 'I like to spend time with her', which isn't really a quality."

Considering Clarette had been a frontrunner, it was disappointing to see Thomas distance himself from her in front of the group.

He then told her that 'jealousy' was a trait of hers. "I meant that as a positive," he reflected afterwards. "Clarette can get jealous but that's because she cares."

Ugh, stop talking, big guy.

That being said, Thomas wasn't all bad in the latest episode. He did have some sweet time with Rachel, whom he spent time with after she flagged that she needed extra support from him on the farm.

They even had a cute-albeit-awkward rom-com moment where they danced in the rain.

I won't totally throw Thomas in the bin. But still, he's no Corey, our unproblematic fave and saviour of the season.

In a sea of Toms, be a Corey. Just saying!
