A recent Facebook glitch has had users seeing more fake deaths than an episode of The Walking Dead.
According to Gizmodo as a result of an unspecified error, many Facebook profiles reported users as dead, brandishing the message, “We hope people who love [name] will find comfort in the things others share to remember and celebrate [his/her] life,” atop their page.
This morose error had, in some cases, left the user’s connections to wonder whether their social media friend had really died.
Journalist of Mashable Damon Beres was one of the users to go, tweeting:

Senior editor of New York Times was also voted off the platform.

One user even questioned if the Trump election was responsible for the massive error.

Though Facebook has yet to comment on the disturbance, it seems even founder Mark Zuckerberg was not immune to the Facebook plague, as his profile also reported that the tech-creator had passed on.
