Home and Away star Esther Anderson is engaged.

Former Home and Away star Esther Anderson has announced her engagement to boyfriend Howard Moggs.

Anderson, who played Charlie Buckton on the soap, shared her happy news with New Idea magazine this week.

The couple got engaged after Moggs, an advertising executive, popped the question on Valentine’s Day.

The couple had been dating for 15 months and Anderson, 36, said she had no idea the proposal was coming after Moggs cracked out the champagne to celebrate the purchase of their new Los Angeles home.   “I thought it was a lovely way to celebrate our new home but suddenly he was down on one knee asking me to marry him,” she said.   “I didn’t see it coming… I was speechless until I realised I hadn’t said ‘yes’.”   Anderson, a Gold Logie nominee and The Celebrity Apprentice Australia contestant, told the publication that the couple planned to have children one day.

“We both definitely want them. It’s the first thing our families asked about. But woah – we just want to enjoy being engaged for now.”
