The Footy Show's Erin Molan is now "pre-wifed". In other words, engaged.

In truly delightful news, The Footy Show‘s Erin Molan has just announced she’s engaged.

Well, in her own words, she’s “pre-wifed.” (Thanks, Erin, we might borrow that one.)

Thepopular sport commentator shared her news on Instagram, alongside a photo that’s essentially the visual definition joy… oh, and there’s a gorgeous diamond ring too:

Last week the love of my life pre-wifed me… I can finally let myself go ???? Couldn’t be happier. Luckiest girl in the world xxx

“Last week the love of my life pre-wifed me… I can finally let myself go,” Molan captioned the image.

“Couldn’t be happier. Luckiest girl in the world.”

On Friday morning, Molan uploaded an up-close video of the engagement ring and we have… absolutely no words.

Absolutely blown away by your incredible generosity and superb craftsmanship @houseofkdor – it was slightly awkward when we ran into you on our THIRD date and you gave Sean a card in case he ever wanted to propose… but I’m sooooo glad you did. You supported me from Day 1 – before anyone else – and I love you and Tariq so much. I’m almost embarrassed it’s so beautiful and divine and feel very unworthy of wearing it (think Bridesmaids movie when she is trying to get into Business Class- ‘help me I’m poor’) but will treasure it and what it represents for the rest of my life xxxxxxxx

Molan and her now-fiance, policeman Sean Ogilvy, met early last year at a pub in Coogee, roughly four months after she’d endured a tough breakup.

In an interview with Show and Tell, the journalist said the pair almost didn’t cross paths — fortuitously, they’d been convinced to go out by friends.

Had such a nice lunch at @wildbrumbydistillery on our little @thredboresort getaway – yes there’s no snow… BUT there is food and wine and a big mountain we will attempt to climb tomorrow ???????????????????????? #mythredbo

“I saw him and he was quite tall and I was like, ‘Oh, he’s really gorgeous’,” she told Monty Dimond.

“He smiled and he had these cute dimples… he kept looking over.”

The rest, as they say, is history. A big congratulations to the happy couple.
