Picture this: a skincare product that does it all.

And it just so happens to exist.

Enter: Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré moisturiser – the ultimate hardworking multitasker. I even think this moisturiser would give Kris Jenner a run for her money.

Developed by the leading French beauty brand Embryolisse, it was formulated by Parisian dermatologist Dr Tricot in 1950, and to this day, it has a tube flying off the shelves every twenty seconds worldwide.

Not only is it meant to intensify hydration that leaves your skin feeling plump and hydrated, but it's also intended as a primer, hailed for creating a beautiful base for flawless and long-lasting makeup application. But wait, it gets even better. This multitasker also has the internet excited over its other uses as a cleanser, makeup remover, as well as a post-shaving cream people are loving as an instant boost of radiance.

So, when this cult product came into my life last week, you already know I was beyond excited to try it. This product is suitable for all skin types and is made with quality ingredients like plant extracts, shea butter, beeswax, and aloe vera. In other words – all the good stuff.

Over the last week, 3 of us with different skin types have been testing out the Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré moisturiser to see if it is actually worth the hype.

This is our verdict…

Lara, normal/combination skin.

Excuse me while I do a happy dance because I am utterly obsessed. Since trialling this product, it is now officially a part of my daily skincare and makeup routine. I am all for taking shortcuts in life. So, to find a product that can do it all is great for my bank account and a game changer for my skin.

During this week I had Australian Fashion Week, where I was attending back-to-back events, which really put my skin (and stress levels) to the test. I used my Lait-Crème Concentré before any makeup look I did, and it helped ensure my base was absolute perfection. I found it to be a crucial step to giving me a dewy and hydrated base for long-lasting and glowy makeup.

I was also curious to try this product as a makeup remover – and I was equally impressed. The gentle formulation effortlessly removed my makeup without irritating my skin or eyes, and my skin barrier was left feeling nourished and protected. Rest assured, this will be my new ride-or-die product, especially as we head into winter.

Alisa, dry skin.

My skin has been a little chaotic recently. I used to be an oily girl, but recently my skin feels (and looks) like it needs a huge drink of water. So, I’ve been on the hunt for a moisturiser that deeply nourishes my skin, while also keeping my acne at bay.

I first heard about the Lait-Crème Concentré moisturiser from a friend who is obsessed with it (and also has gorgeous skin), so I knew I had to give it a go. Since my skin has recently resembled the desert, I have been desperate for something that hydrates my skin and relieves the dry skin that has been sticking around. On first use, it applied smoothly, leaving my skin with a radiant, dewy appearance – without looking oily. What's more, instead of my skin drinking up all the moisture and looking dry a couple hours later, the glowy appearance lasted throughout the day.

Having applied a small amount of the product to my face and décolletage twice a day for a week now, my skin hasn’t experienced any irritation and has become noticeably more supple, smooth, and hydrated. And, all the pesky dry spots have completely gone.

Annika, oily skin.

During my teenage years, I was taught lies about the nature of moisturiser. I would often hear it would make my skin oilier and cause acne. And as someone who has suffered from breakouts and oily skin, I would steer away from deeply hydrating products. However, as I have gotten older, I now lean towards the products I wouldn't have used when I was younger, as their repairing properties are great for my skin.

I started out by using the Lait-Crème Concentré moisturiser both morning and night as the final step in my routine. And, after a week of trialling it, I have noticed a huge difference.

In the mornings, I noticed how much brighter my overall complexion looked. I decided to give the cleanser aspect of this product a go next. Whenever I have an early morning pilates class booked in, I feel conflicted about what to do with my skin beforehand. I don’t want to do my full routine, only to sweat it off later, but I feel like I need to do a little something to make my skin look fresh in the mornings.

I’ve been slathering on a generous layer of the Lait-Crème Concentré and working it into my skin in circular motions, then adding a bit of warm water to allow it to sink into the skin, before wiping my skin clean with a damp cloth. I then pop on a bit of the product to moisturise for an instant glowy look.

I don’t see myself giving the Lait-Crème Concentré up any time soon.
