Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley played enemies on The 100. Behind the scenes, they were falling in love.

Eliza Taylor and Bob Morely were both Aussie soap alumni — Neighbours and Home and Away — but their paths didn't cross until they found themselves on the other side of the world, working together on The CW's sci-fi hit, The 100.

On the show, Eliza played the determined lead character Clarke Griffin, while Bob portrayed the fiercely protective Bellamy Blake. From the very beginning, their characters formed the emotional backbone of the series.

It didn't take long for fans to fall head over heels for the undeniable chemistry between Clarke and Bellamy. Week after week, viewers found themselves desperately hoping these two would finally get together romantically.

The pairing became so beloved that fans gave them their own special nickname: "Bellarke."

Unfortunately, the show took a heartbreaking turn in its final season. The once-unbreakable bond between Clarke and Bellamy crumbled as they found themselves on opposite sides of a devastating conflict. The relationship reached its tragic conclusion when — spoiler alert — Clarke was forced to kill Bellamy.

But that tension that had been building on screen was translated from real life.

In June 2019, both stars took to social media with announcements that shocked their fanbase — they had secretly gotten married.

The revelation was particularly surprising because the pair had never once hinted at a romantic relationship publicly.

"Recently I married my best friend and soul mate @WildpipM," Eliza shared on Twitter alongside a tender photo of their intertwined hands, wedding rings gleaming, and a glimpse of her wedding dress.

"We are very happy and ask that you keep your comments kind and respect our privacy at this time."

"It is with such a full heart that I call @MisElizaJane my wife. This is something we both cherish very deeply and are beyond happy. Please remember to be respectful and kind to one another. Be well be kind," Bob echoed.

The response from fans was immediate and overwhelming — complete shock mixed with pure elation that their favourite fictional pairing had somehow become reality.

A year later, in 2020, Eliza gave fans a glimpse into how their relationship transformed from friendship into something deeper through a candid Instagram post.

"Then, one night in March, 2019 something changed," she revealed. "He came over to help set up our new place when out of the blue — he asked me out on a date. It seemed silly as we'd been friends for so long, in fact I thought he was joking! But I laughed and said yes... To our surprise the date was a success. Honestly, it was as if someone had switched on a light, and we were truly seeing each other for the first time."

In March 2022, they welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby boy named Henry. However, the path to that moment hadn't been without its challenges — Eliza had experienced a miscarriage the year before.

In a touching tribute to their loss, Bob got a meaningful tattoo of a father penguin with his chick on his arm.

"I got this tattoo at a turning point in my life. Things don't always work out as planned, but the lessons learnt have made me a better human," he shared on Instagram, showing how they've chosen to honour their grief while celebrating their growth.

For their three-year wedding anniversary, Eliza penned a beautiful tribute to her husband on Instagram.

"Fires burnt through our homeland, a pandemic shut down the world, and we had a beautiful baby boy. Through it all, our love has only grown stronger. You are a wonderful father and a spectacular husband. Henry and I are so lucky. We love you," Eliza wrote.

Reflecting on their unique situation, Eliza told TV Insider just how rare and special it is to have genuine chemistry with a co-star. "I was so lucky that two of the most important relationships my character had were played by two incredible human beings who were so raw and so real... and obviously, I married one of them," she said.

While the couple hasn't collaborated much professionally since The 100 wrapped, they recently decided to combine their creative talents on a new project. In early 2025, they worked together on a horror-comedy short film called Status: Active, which follows the unlikely encounter between a shopper and a killer.

"I was going to direct, then COVID hit, then we became parents. And then I was like, now we have a toddler, I feel like we have the bandwidth to be able to start writing and directing stuff again," Bob explained to Collider.

The short film is expected to be released sometime in 2025, giving fans another chance to see their favourite real-life couple working together.
