Prince Harry says he has 'put off' having kids. Women all over the globe weep.

Close your eyes and envision your future. If you are currently a heterosexual, single woman of any age there is probably a 67 per cent chance* this future involves marrying Prince Harry and producing sweet, beautiful, ginger babies.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of terrible news, but this day may never come. Not because your chances of meeting and falling in love with Prince Harry are slim (unless you are a blonde British upper class socialite) but also because the 31-year-old royal has just revealed he may never want kids.

“There have been moments through life, especially when we do a tour abroad, when I think, ‘I’d love to have kids now ...’" the Prince told People Magazine. "And then there are other times when I bury my head in the sand going, ‘All right, don’t need kids!'"

“There’s no rush. I think ... I tell you what: There’s been times I’ve been put off having children ... I’ve got a couple of mates and being around their children just brings me back down.”

We've all been there Harry, but surely your nephew and niece, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have convinced you to add some more heirs to your lineage.

The currently single Prince, known for his 'bad boy' persona and extensive charity work has given an exclusive interview to People Magazine. This interview is part of his media tour promoting the Invictus Games, an athletic event for wounded war veterans, an initiative he has spearheaded , which start next week.

During the interview Harry discussed his fading memories of his late mother, Princess Diana, who passed away in a tragic car accident when he was twelve.

"All I want to do is make my mother incredibly proud," Harry told People Magazine. "That's all I've ever wanted to do."

"When she died, there was a gaping hole, not just for us but also for a huge amount of people across the world. If I can try and fill a very small part of that, then job done. I will have to, in a good way, spend the rest of my life trying to fill that void as much as possible. And so will William."

However, the Prince says he is his own person and doesn't do things just because he thinks his mother would have wanted him to.

His decision to begin the Invictus games came after his tours as a British Army Captain in the British Military.

"You turn up and you think you're invincible in a super-duper aircraft, but you're helpless. Then I come back and I say, 'How can I use my name and that spotlight to the best effect?'"

The first Invictus games were held in London in 2014 and this year's games will be in Orlando, Florida from the 8th - 12th of May.

*Yes, I made this percentage up.
