"I'm so, so sorry." Mother of alleged Bourke Street killer condemns her son's actions.

The mother of Dimitrious ‘Jimmy’ Gargasoulas has expressed her disgust at her son’s angry rampage through Melbourne’s CBD on Friday, that left five people confirmed dead and up to 15 more injured.

Emily Gargasoulas said she was “ashamed” by her son’s actions.

“I feel so ashamed and bad, you know,” she told 7 News. “I don’t want to be known that I’m the mother.”

“Go to hell and die in hell,” she added.

Gargasoulas also spoke about the fight earlier that day between Jimmy and his brother Angelo. She claims the fight, that saw Jimmy stab his brother in the face, was over Angelo’s sexuality.

“Jimmy keeps saying to me, I’m going to kill all gays and poofters and lesbians,” she said.

Gargasoulas' father, Chris, who drove from his home in Coober Pedy to Melbourne when he heard the news, has also spoken out against his son.

“Of course he’s responsible, because people with a brain never do this sort of things, you know," he told 7 News.

"Especially inside of the city and do wheelies with his car and I saw everything and I thought that I scratch him off my books."

"He’s not the Jimmy I used to know from years back,” he added.

Gargasoulas’ girlfriend, Akiir Muo, who was held hostage during his violent crime spree, has also spoken about her ordeal.

“He was driving really erratically ... he kept saying it was the end of the world and how he planned to run over people in the city because the police were following us,” Muo told the Herald Sun.

Muo says he pushed her out of the car and before fleeing from police and travelling into the CBD.

“When I found out he actually killed people, I just went into shock. I started crying and thought, “Jimmy what have you done”."
