
After four long years, it’s finally time for the Democrats to select who they’re going to put up against US President Donald Trump in the 2020 United States presidential election.
At the start of the year, there were 25 Democratic presidential candidates vying to challenge President Trump.
Now, at the time of publishing, there are just five candidates left in the race.
By the end of today (Super Tuesday) – the election day when nine US states hold primary elections and caucuses – we could know the Democratic presidential candidate.
Until then, however, it’s pretty much anybody’s game.

At the moment, Bernie Sanders, who has previously run for the Democratic candidacy, has emerged as the frontrunner.
But while Sanders is performing best in the polls, Barron pointed out that the 78-year-old is often seen as a polarising figure among the Democratic candidates.
“All these Democrats agree that their number one objective is to find somebody in this field who is capable of beating Donald Trump,” Barron said.
