Deborra-Lee Furness is just fine, thank you.

Hugh who? Deborra-Lee Furness is thriving in her "chapter three", after her 27-year marriage with Hugh Jackman came to an end.

Two weeks after those very public kissing photos of Jackman and Sutton Foster emerged, Deb has made it crystal clear she's doing just fine, thank you very much!

The actress was spotted living her best life at the Australian Open with daughter Ava, and in true Deb fashion, she's redirected the conversation to what matters most: her exciting next chapter.

"I've got some projects in New York. I'm in my chapter three," she told the Herald Sun at the event, casually dropping that she's reviewing film offers. (And yes, that's after mostly stepping back from the screen during her marriage to Hugh.)

It's a masterclass in rebounding from a breakup, really.

"I've had a few offers for films back here so I'm still reading some scripts so if there's something that's great,'' she said. "I'm a creative, I love being creative in a variety of areas and I think I'll be doing more travelling."

I reckon a cheeky mother-daughter trip to Mykonos is in order!

The timing is particularly interesting, given it comes as new details have emerged about the final days of her marriage to Hugh.

According to Daily Mail sources, Deb had actually welcomed Sutton into their New York home and even went on double dates with her and her then-husband Ted Griffin.

But if her upbeat Australian Open appearance is anything to go by, Deb's far too busy writing her next chapter to worry about any of that drama.

And honestly? We love this energy for her.

For those playing at home, Deb and Hugh's love story began on the set of Corelli, when he was just a fresh-faced actor starting out in the Aussie entertainment industry.

They married in 1996, before announcing their separation in September 2023. They gave us 27 years of what seemed like pure marital bliss... until they didn't

Just when we thought their September 2023 separation announcement was dramatic enough, the rumour mill went into absolute overdrive. Enter: Sutton Foster, Hugh's The Music Man co-star.

While Hugh and Deb were processing their split, Sutton was saying goodbye to her own marriage with, Griffin, to whom she filed for divorce from in October 2024.

Fast-forward to January 2025, and suddenly Hugh and Sutton are holding hands in Santa Monica like it's no big deal. (Spoiler: it's actually a very big deal.)

Since their divorce, things have appeared amicable between Deb and Hugh.

When they announced the news of their separation they said it was to 'pursue our individual growth' and that they undertake the new direction with 'gratitude, love and kindness'.

While the pair, who share a son Oscar, 24, and daughter Ava, 18, have been nothing but peaceful in the public eye, their actual divorce could potentially be a little messier.

With no reported prenup, Hugh and Deb are now faced with divvying up their shared fortune of millions.

Yet, Deb doesn't seem fazed.

"It is kind of exciting," Furness told the Daily Telegraph when asked about the 'new era of Deb'. "You know what, change, transition, evolution is a little frightening and we are all a bit scared of it, but I think it is probably our greatest gift."
