David Turpin's request for his 12 children, as he prepares to spend his life in prison.

David Turpin, the man who will be spending life in prison for the horrendous torture he and his wife subjected 12 of their children to, hopes one day he will be forgiven.

According to Elizabeth Flores, the sister of David’s wife Louise, he told her “I hope the kids can forgive me”, reports Radar Online.

Turpin also told Ms Flores he hoped he could still have a relationship with them, and they would come and visit him in prison.

“He was telling me that no matter what happened with him, he hoped that he still had a relationship with his kids,” she said.

Earlier this month, David, 57, and Louise, 50, pleaded guilty to multiple criminal charges relating to the horrific abuse and torture of 12 of their 13 children.

The 14 charges ranged from child and adult abuse, child endangerment, false imprisonment and torture.

They are expected to be sentenced to life in prison on April 13, and they won’t be eligible for parole for 25 years.

The couple's horrendous treatment of their children was discovered when their 17 year old daughter jumped out a window of their home and called 911 in January 2018.

She told the operator her younger sisters and a brother were chained to their beds.

Police arrived to the home in a middle-class suburb southeast of Los Angeles and found what was to be known as a "house of horrors."

The children, aged between two and 29 were malnourished and underweight, so much so police thought the adults were children.

They hadn't bathed in months, the house was full of human waste, they'd been beaten, starved and locked in cages.

"They're relieved they can move forward with their lives and not have the spectre of a trial hanging over their heads and all the stress that would have caused," said their lawyer Jack Osborn.
