Hot David from Survivor just won an eye-watering $9 million. This is his life now.

Whether you know him as the Golden God, Hot David, or his actual name David Genat (weird but okay), Australian Survivor fans are well-versed in the powers of this man at making TV magic.

And now, his charms and strategic mind have made history.

The charismatic Australian television personality just won the largest cash prize in network TV history on the US show Deal or No Deal Island.

ICYMI: Deal or No Deal Island is a high-stakes reality competition series that combines elements of the classic game show Deal or No Deal with physical challenges and strategic gameplay.

The show takes place on a private island in the Panama Islands (must be nice!), where contestants compete in excursions to retrieve briefcases containing varying amounts of cash.

It sounds kind of weird but it's actually thrilling!

And Genat just went head-to-head with a bunch of American reality TV legends and came out on top. He secured an astonishing $5.8 million US, which translates to approximately $9.3 million in Aussie dollars. Nutso, right?

Genat consistently turned down offers from the banker (which was umm, Chrissy Teigen) until the final round, where he was left with two cases: one containing the grand prize of $12,232,001 and another worth just $75. Ultimately, he accepted the banker's offer, and won the largest prize in network TV's history.

So what will David do with all that money? He plans to treat himself to a motorcycle and buy his three kids brand new cars.

"I probably shouldn't be saying this out loud because they're gonna hold me to it, but like, all my kids are coming up to driving age," David told NBC.

"I'm probably gonna have to buy a fleet of new vehicles. I mean, hey, that's what I'm gonna do."

And he'll be off on a family vacation. "We're gonna take an incredible holiday," David said.

"I have to spend so much time away from my kids, so I would love to be able to spend some time with them and, like, just reconnect and we do a great family vacation."

David Genat's life since winning Australian Survivor.

Before his Deal or No Deal Island win, Genat was most known for his two iconic stints on Australian Survivor. First introduced in 2019 as the leather jacket-wearing 'Golden God', David returned and won Australian Survivor: All Stars in 2020, taking home a prize of $500,000.

He charmed Australia with his hilarious confessionals, impressive gameplay and wholesome friendship with Luke Toki. He went on to star in other reality shows, Rush and Celebrity Apprentice.

Before his breakout reality TV moment, David had a successful international modelling career, appearing in magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair and working with brands Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, and Mont Blanc.

These days, David Genat is happily married to Pearl Christensen, a movement coach and personal trainer. The couple live in Perth, Australia, with their daughter Rei.

"We've moved back to Australia and will be back now for a few years," he told Now to Love in 2020.

"My daughter is 8 now, and I've been living in New York for 17 years. Two of my boys have been growing up in Perth and they can't quite get the same relationship through Skype as they would in person."

Genat also has two sons, Winston and Hugo, from a previous marriage. After living in the US for nearly two decades for his modelling career, Genat moved back to Australia to be closer to his family.

David plans to use his winnings to support his family, particularly his wife and daughter's health concerns.

Genat's daughter Rei is dyslexic, and he hopes to provide her with the best educational resources available. His wife, Pearl, has been dealing with autoimmune issues related to Lupus, so the prize money will also help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with her condition.

"Everyone kind of strives for this point in life no matter what you do, where you're working to provide for your family and the people around you or your partner or whoever," he told NBC after his $9 million win.

"I can do the projects I want. I can spend more time with them [my family]. I can do whatever I really want. Money is ultimate freedom."
