The Block's Dan and Carleen are living separate lives and "going broke".

The Block contestants Dan and Carleen have revealed the lengths they’re going through to help their adult sons.

The couple told Woman’s Day that after being together for 32 years, they were living completely separate lives.

Carleen is living in Perth, while Dan lives hours away down the Western Australian coast, the Daily Mail reported.

“I still have commitments in Perth. Dan has two brothers who live down there and he decided he wanted to work there,” 52-year-old hairdresser said.

Dan also revealed the couple were having financial troubles, but were working hard to support their adult sons, Jacob, 26, Xavier, 24, and 21-year-old Oliver.

“We’re actually going broke doing this… The biggest challenge has been trying to get continual work and giving the boys a good education,” the 55-year-old said.

“You push yourself to give your kids a better life.”

They weren’t the best renovators, but The Block couple won fans with their antics.
