There is only 1 good husband on America's Sweethearts. It's not who you'd expect.

Amidst a sea of shimmering pom-poms and legendary high-kicks, Reece Weaver emerged as one of the breakout stars of the Netflix documentary series America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders in 2024.

In season one, she was introduced as a hopeful rookie, auditioning for the DCC after graduating from the University of Alabama with a Degree in Dance. Her sincere admiration for the DCC, talent and wide-eyed optimism made her a quick fan-favourite.

While many teammates from season one like Victoria Kalina and Kelcey Wetterberg have since retired from the team to embark on new adventures, Reece firmly dug her white cowboy boots down in Dallas and is well and truly back in season two, which has just dropped on Netflix.

So… what's going on with Reece Weaver after filming America's Sweethearts? Here's everything we know.

Are Reece Weaver and Will Allman still together?

The first season of America's Sweethearts ended on an exciting cliffhanger for Reece, with the cheerleader engaged to her college sweetheart, Will Allman. In the final scenes of the documentary, they were counting down the days until their nuptials.

Much to the delight of fans, the couple made their way down the aisle after filming season one. They tied the knot in Florida on April 20, surrounded by friends, family and a few familiar DCC faces.

"Married the woman of my dreams in front of 250 of my best friends and family. A perfect day that will never be forgotten," her husband, Will, wrote on Instagram. "Thank you to all of you who were able to come celebrate Reece and I!"

One week before the wedding, Reece shared a sweet tribute to Will on Instagram.

"Exactly 1 week away until we are BFFs for LIFE. What an honour it is to love you and be loved by you. See you at the altar William B," she wrote.

In the newly released season two of America's Sweethearts, viewers get to see more of Reece and Will's relationship as they navigate married life while she continues her DCC career. The season explores how their dynamic has evolved since their wedding and Will's continued support of Reece's cheerleading dreams.

And, like Reece, Will has become a fan-favourite amongst America's Sweethearts viewers, standing out as one of the most supportive and genuine partners featured on the show.

Since their wedding, the couple has found success as content creators on TikTok, with Will sharing cooking content and behind-the-scenes glimpses of their married life together. Fans particularly love that Will proudly displays "Reece's husband" in his TikTok bio, showing how he celebrates being married to a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader rather than feeling threatened by her success.

His support and genuine enthusiasm for Reece's achievements has made him a standout figure in season two, with viewers consistently praising him as the gold standard for what a DCC partner should be — a stark contrast to some of the more problematic relationships that have been showcased throughout the series.

In April, the pair celebrated their one-year anniversary, with Reece sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram.

"I love you @willallman18 so honored to be your wife. Thank you Jesus for the meaning of marriage and what you did on the cross and what you'll do in future. Just like a bride waiting for her groom," she wrote.

Inside Reece and Will's college romance.

Reece and Will met while studying at the University of Alabama. Their romance was detailed in the Netflix docu-series.

"I was just a college student going crazy at a basketball game," Will said of their first meeting. "A couple weeks later she actually slid into my DMs. That's kind of a big flex — a now-Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader slid into my DMs."

He went on to reveal that he and Reece hung out "15-20 times" before he ever "put his arm around her".

"She was just, like, hyperventilating. I was scared for her. And she's like, 'I've never had any boy do that ever,' and I was like, 'Are you serious?'" he said.

In April 2023, one month before celebrating her graduation from Alabama, Will popped the question and Reece said yes.

"He's my answer to many prayers and my someone whom I cannot live without," Reece wrote in an Instagram caption at the time.

When Reece graduated, she immediately pursued her DCC dream, moving to Dallas to audition for the team.

"Her dream was to become a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. I wasn't going to be a dream squasher. That was her dream. I really didn't have any massive dreams or anything, so I was like, 'my dream is to pursue this woman.' And that was my dream and that still is today," Will revealed in a confessional in America's Sweethearts.

In her own piece to camera, a smitten Reece said, "I'd never dated anyone before, I was scared of boys, I didn't know what to do. And now we're getting married, which is crazy. The first boy I met is going to be my husband.

Reece's breakout role in America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Reece joined the DCC as a rookie in the 2023-2024 season, making her debut in the same year season one of the series was filmed.

Before she became a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, Reece was a member of the Alabama Dance Team at her university — and when she uprooted her life and moved to Texas in a bid to join the team, she and Will temporarily tried a long-distance relationship, while they waited to see if she made the cut.

Reece said she felt called to perform by a "higher power" and wanted to spread "God's message through her movement".

"It has been a dream of mine to pursue a professional career in dance since I can remember," Reece says in her DCC profile. "The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are so iconic and they consistently set the bar for talent year after year.

"With every opportunity I've been given, I've always prayed for an environment to make me a better Reece after a chapter closes and I truly believe The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders embody not only pristine talent, but women who are well rounded in all areas of life."

Reece made it through the rigorous audition process and training camp, becoming one of eight rookies on the DCC team in 2023.

"I'm so thankful to be around a bunch of incredible women, I'm surrounded by my best friends, so I mean… what better job to have?" Reece said of her dream role in the final episode of America’s Sweethearts.
