'Excuse me, I can't stop thinking about the time Tyra Banks widened a contestant's tooth gap on America's Next Top Model.'

While most people think about their upcoming day while showering, I spend my time thinking about all the wild sh*t Tyra Banks did on America’s Next Top Model.

I know it happened a long time ago, but it consumes my thoughts more often than I should publicly admit on the internet.

So, as expected, I was absolutely THRILLED when Dakota Johnson made the news for removing the gap in her teeth because it meant I could finally talk to my colleagues, friends and strangers on the street about the time Tyra Banks MADE A GAP IN SOMEONE’S TEETH BIGGER.

TYRA. YOU. ARE. NOT. A. DENTIST.

In season 15 of the fashion reality show, there was a model named Chelsey who had a gap in her front teeth.

It was quirky, unique and at the time there weren’t many models around that had that look. Cool. Get it girl.

Enter. Tyra.

Tyra decided that she would have a dentist FILE this poor woman's teeth to be bigger and seriously, can you imagine?

Surprisingly, Chelsey was up for it because a) Tyra was probably terrifying and b) she was afraid it was either the widened tooth gap or a shaved head. (Honestly, we don't blame her).

Tyra sent her to a dentist who promptly shaved off a millimetre on each tooth. NOPE.

Here she is smiling nervously post teeth shaving, probably hoping Tyra wasn’t about to shave her head.

At one point during the makeover Chelsey says, “Of course I would do anything she thinks looks good,” referring to Tyra.

CHELSEY NO. THIS IS WHY TYRA IS LIKE THIS.

Speaking to wetpaint.com in 2010 Chelsey said, “My gap used to be a lot bigger when I was younger so I wasn't worried about it at all. I trusted Tyra and her team and if she thought I could pull off a bigger gap and it could help my career, then I was all for it.”

Chelsey is now married with two kids and looks very happy.
