Dad tried to dress his baby son. Failed spectacularly.

Some describe dressing a baby in a onesie is like trying to dress an octopus.

Limbs everywhere. Buttons that never match up. Pure chaos.

So when proud dad, Nick Davies, showed off his efforts to his wife, he wasn’t expecting the reaction he got.

You see, he had discovered that they owned a onesie with built-in mittens. To stop the bub from scratching themselves accidentally.

Now… you can get onesies with folder over hand sections which become mittens. But the Davies family don’t actually own one of these. Instead… Nick had put the onesie on upside down. No, not back to front. Upside down.

Yep. The hands were in the built in socks.

His wife, Gemma Louise Davies, thought it was so funny (we think it is funny too), she posted the image to The Unmumsy Mum Facebook page.

She captioned the image with:

My husband got our ten week old baby dressed for bed – I came downstairs to find him dressed like this! My husband said he thought Lenny’s babygrow was a great design as it had in his words ‘added scratch mitts’ along with ‘easy access for nappy changing’. Sorry but I couldn’t stop laughing! He was so oblivious to the fact that the baby grow was infact upside down and so serious with his reply. I am so pleased I managed to get this photograph…”

The post has been liked by over 110,000 Facebook users.

Mums took the opportunity to reassure Nick that he was, in fact, not alone by sharing photos of their husband’s (and grandma’s) efforts.

Gemma told The Mirror UK, “Nick is a brilliant dad and despite working long hours in his full time job and currently doing renovation works to our home he always ensures he has plenty of time for our children. He is always keen to read stories at bedtime, play in the park and is a real fun dad who doesn’t take himself too seriously – but from now on I think I will be the one who dresses our little ones!”

Don’t worry Nick, we’ve all been there.
