All the things that look more like this statue of Ronaldo than the soccer star himself.

Look, there’s no denying Cristiano Ronaldo is a handsome man.

I mean, just… look at him.

Even his cheekbones have abs, for Christ's sake.

By now, the Portuguese soccer star is used to having his enviably symmetrical face plastered across everything from billboards to Facebook newsfeeds.

But he did seem a tad taken aback by a new bronze bust unveiled in his honour at an airport being named after him in his hometown of Funchal.

Somehow, somehow, it failed to capture the 32-year-old's likeness...

While the nightmarish effigy is perhaps a slight improvement on the last one *cough* erected *cough* in his childhood home, social media users just couldn't let it slide.

Likely because it's the artistic equivalent of that piece of clothing you order online which looks nothing like the pictures on arrival.

BUT, just like a teenie tiny dress can be repurposed as an almost adequate top (maybe), there are certainly a few things more like the chiseled bust than its namesake.

Like, for example, the Jesus fresco...

Or Kryten from Red Dwarf...

Or Pete Evans...

Or Sloth from the Goonies...

Or the Joker...

Of The Head from Art Attack...

Or Ed, Edd or Eddie (I don't know which one is which)....

To be honest, I'd quite like to fly in and out of an airport named after the Jesus fresco and, at the very least, this whole shemozzle seems to have cheered up the British on Brexit day.
