A woman in the US has been found guilty of murder after injecting industrial-grade silicone into the buttocks of a 34-year-old woman for the purpose of cosmetic enhancement.
It took jurors two hours on Tuesday to find Denise “Wee Wee” Ross from Dallas guilty of murder and practicing medicine without a license. The 45-year-old now faces life in prison.
Ross had a reputation for giving women bigger backsides. Her work was known as the “Wee Wee Booty” and all clients were word-of-mouth referrals.
On February 19, 2015 Wykesha Reid, 34, went to see Ross at her salon to receive injections for buttock augmentation. Ross injected industrial-grade silicone through syringes. The injection wounds never healed.
The product travelled through Reid’s veins and clogged her lungs. She died of a pulmonary embolism and likely struggled for breath before she died, medical examiner Dr Stephen Lenfest told the court.

Her body was found around 7am the following morning. It is believed she would have survived had she been taken to hospital. She was found lying on her back on a table and her pants were pulled down.
“They didn’t even have the decency to pull up her pants,” prosecutor Summer Elmazi said in her closing address.
Reid had received buttock injections on at least three previous occasions. During her autopsy, Lenfest discovered cysts in the area caused by the amateur attempts at cosmetic surgery.
