Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth and his wife, Livia Giuggioli, were married for 22 years.
On the outside, they looked like a happy couple, living in the Italian countryside with their two sons, Luca and Matteo. On the inside, things were very different.
In 2019, the couple's marriage ended after Giuggioli announced she'd been involved in an 11-month affair with her childhood friend, Marco Brancaccia. But before she was willing to share that news with her husband, she claimed Brancaccia was her stalker. And that's just the half of it.
Now, six years after their divorce, Giuggioli has finally opened up about the controversial split and where things stand between the two of them today.
"We're always together. Colin and I have a wonderful relationship. We have worked a lot on that, and on keeping the family together," Giuggioli said to HELLO! Magazine.
"I have a partner, he has a partner, and we're all together all the time. It's an extended, crazy family."
But when it comes to leaving her famous life behind, Giuggioli has no regrets.
I don't miss any of it. Sometimes I look at my incredible high heels, gowns and clutches and think: 'I'll never wear them again, and I can't remember who that person was,'" she added.
While the exes have seemingly managed to stay on good terms with one another, it wasn't always so simple. Let's start at the beginning.
