We asked media commentator Jane Caro for her opinion on the matter and she said…..
Sex only sells when it is relevant and it isn’t relevant for orange juice (far too sticky). Sex gets attention, but if it is for something irrelevant, then everyone remembers the sex but not the product.
And presumably only men drink orange juice in Ireland.
Pathetic ad, really, sleazy, not funny, irrelevant and relying on borrowed interest. The orange juice equivalent of the bikini model on the bonnet of the car – last seen in 1962.
