The unravelling of Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn and her million-dollar husband.

She was the breakout star in the earlier seasons of Netflix's Selling Sunset, but since departing the series, Christine Quinn's life took a disturbing turn.

In March 2024, news surfaced that Quinn's husband, Christian Dumontet, had been arrested twice in one week — first on domestic violence charges and then again after failing to follow a protective order.

The 42-year-old was formally charged with assault and child abuse.

Fans of Christine will recognise Dumontet — who appeared on Selling Sunset as 'Christian Richard' — as the couple's early romance was shown on the reality series, along with their $1.5 million 2019 wedding and lavish 2021 baby shower.

Flash-forward to 2025 and Christine has given an update from her new home, swapping Hollywood for her hometown of Dallas, Texas.

She's now living in the South with her 3-year-old son, Christian Georges.

"I am really, really grateful to be living here," Quinn told PEOPLE.

"I have a sister who lives really close to me, and my son has a cousin. So it's really something that I needed as opposed to the chaos when I was in Los Angeles."

After the incident in their Hollywood Hills home, Christine said she had to "find [a place to live] extremely quick," so she found a rental property near her family.

In April 2024, Dumontet filed for divorce from Quinn and while the divorce proceedings are still ongoing, Christine added she was "very optimistic that it will be finished soon."

Christine has also filed for full custody of their son.

The 36-year-old told People her turbulent relationship with the millionaire impacted their son, who has since received "intensive therapy".

"It's just so crazy since I moved to Texas. I mean, he was literally a nonverbal child at three years old, which is pretty rare," she said.

"He went from that to being immediately enrolled in school, having other kids around him, being so talkative, being so extroverted."

She credits the change in environment for helping her son.

"Children are a product of the effect of their environment. And hopefully, that's kind of coming through now," she said.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers first responded to a domestic dispute call in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles on March 19, 2024.

"The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim but hit the victim’s child, causing injury," a public information officer told Page Six.

Their two-year-old son was reportedly transported by ambulance and taken to the emergency room.

"Christine left the house and rode in the ambulance with her son," an insider told the tabloid.

TMZ reported that following the incident, Quinn was offered and accepted an emergency protective order against her husband which would be in effect for seven days.

LAPD then confirmed to People that Dumontet was arrested again after failing to follow the protective order.

"Last night at approximately 11.40pm our Hollywood officers responded to a radio call. The suspect was arrested for violation of a restraining order," said the Los Angeles Police Department.

In a court filing later that month, Quinn revealed more details against Dumontet.

The celebrity real estate agent documented Dumontet's "volatile and erratic" behaviour, alleging her husband took "extreme measures to prevent me from leaving the property," and to "isolate me and our son", as per People.

Quinn also claimed that he locked down their front security gate "so we physically cannot leave the property."

Recounting how she planned to leave the house amid an argument with her husband on March 18, Quinn reported: "The house is at the end of a long driveway, on the top of a hill, and there is a large and heavy gate that controls access to the property."

She claimed her husband "could, if he so desired, simply lock down that gate and completely barricade the property" and prevent "the police" from entering.

The TV star also claimed in the filing that Dumontet "routinely turns off the household internet to cut off communication with the outside, because we have no cell reception in the residence due to the terrain."

In Quinn's account, she claims the initial arrest was the result of an argument about finances.

She alleges the disagreement resulted in Dumontet throwing flower arrangements at her, pouring a can of soda on their bed, throwing dog faeces at her, and urinating on their bedroom floor.

"I needed to start making plans to leave him and extricate myself and our son from the house because [Dumontet] was becoming increasingly volatile and erratic," she claimed in the document, revealing she called her son's nanny to help her arrange to leave the next day.

Quinn and Dumontet welcomed their first child, Christian Georges Dumontet, together in May 2021 following a harrowing emergency C-section, which was also documented on the Netflix series.

Prior to his arrest, Dumontet kept a fairly low profile compared to his wife, Quinn. Dumontet doesn't have social media platforms like TikTok and has remained private on Instagram.

His claim to fame before meeting the Selling Sunset star was co-founding online food-ordering service called Foodler, with the sale of the company making him a multimillionaire.

Despite her popularity on the Netflix show, Quinn quit Selling Sunset at the end of season five after clashing with most of her co-stars on the real estate series, including Mary Fitzgerald and Chrishell Stause.

She has since made several allegations about some of the questionable practices of the series' creator, Adam DiVello.

After departing Selling Sunset and The Oppenheim Group, Quinn joined forces with Dumontet to launch a real estate company, Real Open, which handles buying and selling homes through cryptocurrency.
