The little Legend is already getting his picture taken. Regularly.
Model Chrissy Teigen is pregnant — and getting near-constant ultrasounds.
She and her husband John Legend announced their baby news on Instagram last week, writing that the pair were “so excited that it’s finally happening” after years of IVF treatment.
Like any woman who’s being trying to conceive, Teigen was clearly exhilarated to finally be expecting. But unlike many other pregnant women, 29-year-old Teigen has been getting ultrasounds “every few days” to check on her unborn baby.
Teigan referenced her frequent pregnancy scans after posting an image of her growing baby bump to Instagram.
The cute image of the clearly visible bump — along with the caption “somebody’s early to the party” — led commenters to suggest she may be having twins or even triplets.
But the model did not take kindly to that speculation, and embarked on a Twitter rant to make clear she’s only expecting one little Legend.
“It isn’t twins. I can see the damn thing,” she wrote.
Then, in the course of hitting back at the her commenters, she mentioned she has been getting “ultrasounds every few days”.
Many expectant mums get just two scans throughout their pregnancy, so Teigen’s constant scans sound rather tiring. But ultrasounds are sometimes needed if there are problems with the initial ultrasounds, if there is a discrepancy in the foteal size along the way or if the mother has previously experienced miscarriage — so we just hope all is well in her pregnancy.
