Chrishell Stause has confirmed she's leaving Selling Sunset after nine seasons of sky-high stilettos, mansion tours and drama.

It marks a closing of a chapter for the reality show, as Chrishell, 44, has been a series regular since it premiered in 2019.

The reality star and agent confirmed she was officially bowing out of the show in an interview with Bustle.

"I've vacillated back and forth with this decision in the past," she said. "I have to be honest — having come from nothing, it's really hard to turn something like this down."

"I've gotten to a place where I don't need the show financially," she continued. "I'm lucky to have other forms of employment, because it's no longer good for my mental health."

She added that "Jesus Christ himself" couldn't convince her to return for a tenth season.

Chrishell further elaborated on her exit in a post on Instagram.

"Although the season ended on a bit of a sour note, I will truly always be grateful to this show," she wrote. "There were lots of fun memories I am going to focus on from here on out, and you will see me again, so it's not goodbye.

"Just goodbye for now."

It isn't clear yet, whether Chrishell is leaving The Oppenheim Group entirely. Netflix has not commented on Chrishell's exit, and the show has not yet been renewed for season 10.

Feuds and fallout.

Over the course of nine seasons, Chrishell has been at the centre of her fair share of drama on the show.

This latest season was no exception.

She was first embroiled in a heated argument with Nicole Young during a "Girlsgiving dinner," where she accused Young of doing drugs again (a claim she has made in other seasons).

Nicole responded by bringing up Chrishell's late parents: "Honey, you're confusing me with your parents, okay? You seem to be obsessed with drugs."

Nicole was formally asked to leave the show by Jason and Brett Oppenheim after the argument.

However, one of the bigger feuds has unfolded mostly off-screen, and it involves Chrishell's falling out with former best friend Emma Hernan.

Emma's romantic life takes centre stage this season. After last season's controversy where Nicole alleged Emma was involved with a married man — claims Emma vehemently rejected — she's showcased a fresh relationship.

Chrishell is not a fan of the man who captured her best friend's heart, Blake Davis, a property agent and developer.

The season documents the growing friction between the once-close friends. Chrishell doesn't mince words, calling Blake a "douchebag" and cautions Emma that he's attempting to manipulate her.

By the end of the season, it appears that Blake and Emma have broken up.

However, off-screen a different story unfolded.

Following the breakup, Emma and Blake had a reconciliation, because by May 2025, Chrishell officially confirmed that she and Emma were no longer on speaking terms.

Their last public appearance together was at a Beyoncé concert in May.

Fans noticed the growing distance, with one asking: "What's happening with you and Emma?"

Chrishell, again, didn't mince words with her response, writing, "Ask her about her MAGA bf who told me pronouns are dumb and that he likes to use the N word. I just can't with that. Too old to allow that in. But love her from afar."

Chrishell is married to Australian musician G-Flip, who is non-binary, and uses they/them pronouns.

Emma has denied that Blake attacked the use of pronouns.

During the Selling Sunset season 9 reunion, a number of the cast took Emma's side and accused Chrishell of "mean girl" antics for taking to social media.

Chrishell doubled down following the reunion and reiterated that Blake had a history of degrading Emma, women and the LGBTQ community.

"Since filming the reunion, his own very hateful posts on his IG story against [the] LGBTQ community speak volumes on who to believe here," Chrishell posted to her Instagram stories, where she also called out Emma for "flaming the hate for my partner."

Phew! That's a lot to unpack.

While Chrishell has hinted that this isn't a permanent goodbye, her exit leaves Selling Sunset at a crossroads.

The show will need to navigate not only the loss of a central figure but also fractured relationships and ongoing tensions.

For now, Chrishell can focus on her marriage to G-Flip, her business ventures, and perhaps most importantly, her wellbeing — away from the cameras that have documented her life for the past six years.

One thing is certain — Selling Sunset won't be quite the same without her.
