It seems like the Ghostbusters cast are as excited to be working with Chris Hemsworth as we are to be watching him.
In a new featurette released on the franchise’s Facebook page, we get an insight into Hemsworth’s character — the “big, dumb puppy dog” and receptionist extraordinaire — Kevin.
Star Kate McKinnon describes Hemsworth’s character as “a Ken doll with the insides scooped out”.
Lovely.
Kevin is a tall, toned and gorgeous man... who took the lenses out of his glasses because they kept getting dirty. So, while McKinnon's description is not a particularly appealing visual, it's probably not far off.
He is, shall we say, a little behind the eight-ball. But boy is he funny.
"When I watch the movie," says actress Leslie Jones, " I just want more Kevin."
Jones, who plays Ghostbuster "Patty Tolan", gushes over her co-star. "Seriously, there is no way that you're this sweet, this funny, this fine. That's just not fair!" she says.
When you're playing with comedy heavyweights like Kristin Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, you better be able to hold your own. And evidently, Hemsworth does just that, as his co-stars and director are full of praise for his humour and improvisation skills.
