Chloe Pink had just sat down for dinner with her husband. Then came a vicious phone call.

As the wife of a professional athlete, Chloe Pink is (unfortunately) no stranger to hateful comments and private messages.

Over time, the 'WAG' has learnt to tune most of them out; filter the insults, block the bullies and lean on her loved ones.

But earlier this week, things crossed a line for her.

Chloe had just sat down for dinner with her husband, AFL player Toby Pink, when her phone started to ring.

Despite the No Caller ID, the influencer picked up. She always does… why would this time be any exception?

Little did she know what was awaiting her on the other end.

"I answered the call and the person was like, 'Hi, Mrs. Piggy. Oink, oink, oink,'" Chloe told Mamamia.

With the phone on speaker, Toby heard the entire exchange. And was left just as speechless as his wife.

"I was taken aback by it. So I said 'pardon?' because I was so confused," Chloe continued.

"The person repeated it. And then I'm not sure if I hung up, or if they hung up."

For a moment, Chloe and Toby sat in silence as they processed what had just happened.

"We were in shock," she said.

It wasn't so much what the anonymous caller had said, but the fact a stranger had found Chloe's private number.

"They had gone to the point of calling me and harassing me," she said. "It caused anxiety, like what else do they know about my personal life?

"I just felt invaded. It was very unsettling."

After the shock subsided, Chloe reported the incident to the police.

"I put in a formal statement, and now they're doing their investigations," she said.

While this isn't the first time Chloe has been a victim of online harassment, until now, the WAG has never been violated in this way.

"It's one thing to comment on my social media, but to actively find my number and call me? That's not an accident or impulsive," she said.

"It takes effort which shows intent to intimidate me. That's crossing a serious line."

The phone call comes almost a year after Chloe was subject to a barrage of abuse about her wedding photos.

After marrying Toby in March 2025, she was excited to post about the ceremony on her Instagram.

What followed was a wave of negative comments, aimed at Chloe's appearance.

"I wasn't prepared for how many there were, or how vile they were," she told Mamamia at the time.

"They weren't just your standard 'you're fat' comments — some of the things people wrote were disgusting."

Chloe, however, managed to turn lemons into lemonade in November last year, auctioning off the wedding dress to an anti-bullying charity, Dolly's Dream.

"This dress, which has been part of both beautiful and difficult moments, now has a new purpose," she wrote on the Dolly's Dream website.

"Together, we can create change, spark conversations, and help protect young people and families across Australia."

In July last year, Chloe and fellow WAGs spoke to us about the hate that comes with being married to a professional athlete.

Over time, the influencer has become "a lot more desensitised" to online bullying. But, she wouldn't be human if it didn't sting at times.

"I think it just depends on where I'm at in my life and if I'm feeling vulnerable," she told Mamamia.

"I don't think too much of it when I'm reading one or two comments, but at the end of a hard week, it consumes me, and it really, really affects my mental health.

"I imagine that that's 100, 300, 500 people standing in a room, saying that to me."

Now, having been harassed over the phone, Chloe is putting a line in the sand.

"I don't need sympathy, but this is me drawing a boundary," she said. "It's unacceptable and it's cowardly."

Still, she will never let the negativity completely consume her.

"There's so much more to us than what other people say. I'm happy, I have a really good life, I have a really good husband, I love myself, and my family love me. I think that's all that matters."
