Chloe Morello saw Kim Kardashian's skin doctor. Then she got the bill.

Hahahelphaha.

The good news? Precisely no one is immune to this humbling experience. Even beauty royalty Chloe Morello.

When you think of beauty vloggers, chances are you think of Chloe Morello. She's the OG. And as one of the world's most influential beauty content creators with millions of online followers, Chloe is a legend in the beauty industry, and whenever she recommends something, you know it's got to be good.

We recently had her on the You Beauty podcast and she spilled exactly what happened when she went to see Kim Kardashian's skin doctor in LA — including how much it actually costs to nab flawless celebrity skin.

Spoiler alert: it's worse than you think.

How much does a Diamond Facial cost?

A Diamond Facial? We hear you ask.

Let us explain.

As Chloe shared, "I just moved back from LA a year ago. But when I was there, I went to Dr Diamond. He's done work for the Kardashians — and he's expensive."

How expensive? EXPENSIVE, YOU GUYS.

"I got the signature 'Diamond Facial' — and I paid $6,000 USD to have it done."

For reference, $6,000 USD is around $9,300 AUD.

And… sweet mercy.

For the uninitiated, Dr Jason Diamond is a celebrity facial plastic surgeon in LA — looking after everyone from the likes of Kim Kardashian (and pretty much the entire family, including Scott Disick), Chrissy Teigen, Katy Perry, Olivia Culpo and Adriana Lima. He's also appeared on the Netflix series The Celebrity Plastic Surgeons of Beverly Hills and the hit show Dr. 90210.

So, yeah, he's a prettyyy big deal on the facial aesthetics front.

Chloe said, "I didn't know how much it was going to cost but I thought to myself, this will be a big content piece for me — I'm going to do a video and I'm going to have my celebrity experience. But I went in there, got the treatment, came out and it was $6,000 USD. I was going cross-eyed in there when I realised how much it was."

"He also left me waiting in there for yonks. Surely, they don't make Kim [Kardashian] do that?!" she laughed.

So, what kind of treatment did Chloe get? And why was it so expensive?

Well, she gave us all the pervy details.

"(The Diamond Facial is) basically the plasma micro-needling facial, where they put your own plasma on your face."

See: This viral photo of Kim Kardashian's 'Vampire Facial'.

For a quick explainer, the 'Vampire Facial' is also known as a Platelet Rich Plasma treatment (or PRP), and it involves a cosmetic professional extracting a small amount of your blood (just like a regular blood test) and putting it through a centrifuge (a machine that separates the red blood cells from the plasma). This solution is then injected back into the treatment area, where the growth factors from the platelets help to regenerate cells and stimulate collagen production.

Promising to target everything from acne scarring to fine lines and under-eye circles, the treatment claims to result in plumper, more youthful-looking skin.

Following the PRP skin treatment, Chloe said "Dr Diamond then does a laser treatment afterwards, followed by an LED mask, and then anti-wrinkle injections. So it was a lot, but certainly not $6,000-worth!"

On the website, this particular facial looks like it's called the 'Diamond Instafacial', and is described as "an all-inclusive, one-stop skin overhaul guaranteed to leave you with a radiant and healthy complexion."

As mentioned, the personalised treatment uses specific lasers, plasma lifting (PRP) and a specific type of microneedling depending on your main concerns.

Suddenly feel better about your Black Friday splurges? Because same.

In all honesty, it's a very good reminder that every time you see a celebrity on Instagram or walking the red carpet, it's worth knowing jusssst how much it takes to nab that perfectly flawless skin. Celebrities have access to some of the biggest, most advanced range of skin treatments, right at their fingertips — and what you see is often the product of a lot of (expensive) cosmetic intervention by some of the best doctors in the world.
