Since learning that Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum are ending their near nine-year-marriage, we’ve been asking ourselves “why?!”
Now, a “friend” of the couple has reportedly given the answers we’re searching for, and honestly, it makes a lot of sense.
New York Post’s Page Six reports an unnamed source told them the couple split “due to spending more time apart because of the pressure of work”.
Ah, distance claims another relationship.
We already want them to get back together. But is it ever a good move to reunite with an ex-partner? Mia Freedman shares a personal story that might change your mind. Post continues.
The friend said that while “Channing has been working non-stop”, with no less than four movies in the works for this year, Jenna is in the early stages of production for a movie, Berlin I Love You. They are also parents to four-year-old daughter Everly.
“It is hard on a marriage to be apart so much, especially when you have a young child.”
The friend said the distance magnified “problems in their relationship”.
Sources ET spoke to back this up, saying the split “has been brewing for a while”.
“They have been fighting the last couple of years – quite a bit,” another said.
“They have tried working on things and had therapy but nothing changed.”
