The celebrities who have managed to keep secret that they became parents.

There’s a funny thing about celebrities – we see them so often on our screens that we think we know all about them and every aspect of their lives.

…Then we realise they have children and we somehow had NO IDEA.

The following famous people have kids who they managed to keep a secret – either purposefully or simply by circumstance.

Donald Glover

We didn’t learn Donald Glover, also known by stage name Childish Gambino, was a dad until he confirmed it in his 2017 Emmy acceptance speech. And if you missed that, then you’re probably also in the dark about the exceptionally talented artist’s dad status.

The 35-year-old welcomed son, Legend, with his girlfriend Michelle in early 2016. Then in January of this year, the couple met their second child, another baby boy whose name we don’t know yet.

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser

Okay, so we didn't even know the Mad Men actor and Handmaid's Tale favourite were a couple, let alone that they had a son together. The pair managed to keep his birth (which was sometime in Spring 2015) under wraps for a few months, until Bledel's Gilmore Girls co-star Scott Patterson unknowingly shared the secret in an interview in May 2016.

Kevin Jonas fell went off our radar when his brotherly band the Jonas Brothers ended their musical career together. Which is how he was able to have two kids without us realising - Alena Rose Jonas, four, and Valentina Angelina Jonas, two - with his wife of eight years, Danielle Deleasa.

This noughties teen power couple welcomed their daughter Arlo Day in August 2015 - and that's pretty much all we know. The stars have managed to keep the three-year-old well away from our prying eyes so far.

Did you know Joey Tribbiani was a dad? Neither did we. Turns out the actor behind the popular Friends character has a 14-year-old daughter, Marina Pearl, with actress Melissa McKnight.

Another case of a celebrity successfully keeping private about their child's life for so long we forgot they existed. Keira Knightley and her husband James Righton didn't share their three-year-old daughter's name for two months after she was born in 2015. It's Edie, for the record.

Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian gave birth to her first child in April of this year - but we bet you didn't know that for a brief time she was step-mum. That was to her ex-husband Lamar Odam's two kids: Destiny, 20, and Lamar Jr, 16. Tragically, Lamar also lost a third child, his six-month-old son Jayden, in 2006.

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson and her ex-husband Romain Dauriac welcomed with daughter Rose in 2014 around September - making the little girl now four years old. But the protective parents have worked hard to keep their daughter out of the public eye.

Solange Knowles

Beyonce's younger sister Solange Knowles is now 32 years old, but she had her first (and only) child when she was just 18, back in 2004. Solange's now 14-year-old son Daniel was named after his father, the singer's first husband Daniel Smith.

Heather Morris - who is best known for her role as cheerleader Brittany on Glee - has two sons with her husband Taylor Hubbell. They welcomed Elijah Beck in September 2013 and Owen Bartlett in February 2016.

Colin Firth

Those who are aware of Colin Firth's marriage to Italian director Livia Giuggioli might also know that the couple have two sons, Luca, 17, and 15-year-old Matteo. However, the British actor is also father to 28-year-old Will Firth, who he had with actress Meg Tilly back in 1990.
